Have 98C with Response trigger. When I pull the trigger one time, it begins shooting fully auto and will emtpy a CO2 cylinder by itself unless I stop it from firing by holding the cocking knob.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Could it be too much oil in the marker?

Did you install the RT sear spring? Sounds like your sear is not resetting completely.

If you used the wrong sear spring, your sear and rear bolt will wear out quickly and no longer catch. Check the sear and rear bolt. If either of them are worn (not sharp), you're going to have to replace both.

I have a Super RT and I use the stock spring and it works just fine.

i would not recommewnd using a weaker spring.

^ yeah, it may work fine now, but you still run the risk of wearing out your sear or bolt or both. It would be wise to use the proper spring...Tippmann didn't just spend money to put a new spring in the kit for nothing. They must have some reason for doing it...hopefully!
