Hey everybody I've thinking about gettin a 05 Pro Stock soon and i have been doin some research and it says every year or so u have to get ur auotococker timed? What does that involve really and how much money and can u do it yourself? Thanks alot ------------- Pain is the name of the game |

| auot cockers are a very touchy breed, although a very good gun. I have two. have to reset timing maybe twice a year depending on usage and how I want the gun to perform. you can do it yourself but is best to have your local proshop go through it with you. most will do that. also wgp will provide you with a cd and or directions to tech the gun yourself. many can be downloaded on line |

easy to do, i think there is a site called cockertech or somthing like that that site basically taught me everything about mech cockers -------------

Its ludicrously easy, dont pay some "pro" money to do it... Yank the bolt, adjust the back block by screwing it on or off the pump arm so its as close as it can be to the body without actually touching it. Keep the bolt out, stick a 1/8 allen wrench into the hole in the top of the gun and wiggle it around until it mates up with the allen screw in the hammer. Adjust this to set where the hammer fires when you pull the trigger, just dry fire the gun until it feels right, the sear should let go right near the beginning of the trigger pull. Put the bolt back in, gas it up and loosen the rearmost set screw on the shaft coming out from the 3-way valve (the timing collar). You need to adjust this so the gun recocks about midway through the trigger pull. Just turn the entire timing collar assembly so it unscrews or screws farther onto the timing rod that goes to the trigger. Loosen it to cause the gun to cock later in the trigger pull, or tighten it on to cause the gun to cock sooner in the pull. And thats it...Except if you get a prostock (Comes with an e-frame doesnt it?) you dont even need to do the last step. At least not mechanically, I think you just need to set a recocking time in the electronics, which is probly dirt simple too. -------------
