ok.....

I just got a brand new stock ion a couple of days ago

I put the battery that came with it into the gun and programmed it to the recomended settings for a ion without QEV(according to the ionwners forum)

I got my egg(with brand new duracel batteries) and put it on my gun, put my pure energy 47/3000 tank on and put some some balls in the hopper

I turned on my ion and it began to blink rapidly (which means theirs a ball in the breech

I began to shoot but its like the bolt doesn't have enough power to shoot the ball and the sound of the gun sounded like it was muffled or something....then the balls get all clogged up in the barrel

I have no idea whats wrong

andybody know?

First off, take everything off.  Then, check to make sure the macroline is in correct.  Does it sound like its leaking?  Anyways, what settings did you put it on?  Check the bolt to see if its clogged at all.  Did the paintballs come out at all?   I need alil more info.

Edit:  Ummm, it also says in your sig that you have a QEV, so why did you program it for no QEV?

Recommended settings for Ion without QEV
First set your dwell to 46 blinks from the bottom.

   1. Push the programming button multiple times until it is on solid red
   2. Push the power button repeatedly until the yellow led does not blink anymore. You have now bottomed out the dwell.
   3. Push the programming button multiple times until it is on solid yellow
   4. Push the power button 46 times

Then set your recharge to 0 blinks from the bottom.

   1. Push the programming button multiple times until it is on single blink red
   2. Push the power button repeatedly until the yellow led does not blink anymore. You have now bottomed out the recharge.
   3. Push the trigger to exit programming mode.
   4. Turn the ion off to record the settings to memory. Just pulling the battery will not save the settings to memory.

^thats what I did...it doesn't sound like its leaking

the bolt didn't seem clogged

and thats my other ion in my sig...I just bought a new one since the price drop

Strange since I had this same problem today at the field. Anyway, try changing the battery and make sure your tank is screwed in ALL the way in..

Make sure the input pressure is around 180-185: MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T GO ABOVE 200, or else you will damage the noid:, put in a fresh battery, and make sure the eyes are connected and not covered by gunk

Well, first piece of advice would be to throw away that piece of trash, I realize that you have fixed the problem but my Ion did the same thing, and then at the next field I played at one of the O-rings gave, And its nearly impossible to tell which one it was so I had to replace all the hoses and O-rings in the area the leak was coming from.
