Hey guys, no special improvments to the performance, save the 18" barrel. But I wanted the feel of an Assault rifle. And I think I accomplished that. Heavier than hell - unbalanced aswell. . . But it is so much fun, you couldn't imagine. I'm gona get a sealed bolt system for it next. . It's mostly Ops Gear equipment, except for the LapCo alternate feeder neck, and CAR style stock. 18 inch is overkill. 16 is the max you should go, but nice none-the-less.

P.S. This is only a little tweak, but I would mill down the Tippmann 98c letters and finish it off in black. I've seen it done a few times and it really adds to the realism of the gun. -------------

No. Barrel length only affects the likelyhood that something in the barrel pisses your paintball off and makes it break in there, as far as shooting performance goes. If its ported, it makes it quieter, and contributes to utility, like poking through bushes, trees, or around air bunkers. However the best are two piece barrels where the first half holds the ball nice and snug and the second gives it some breathing room (litterally) and allows the gases to vent more quietly than an unported barrel would. ------------- VSC Phantom w/ Palmer Stabilizer + Vertical Pump Handle |
