I have the Dead on Drop Forward w/ on/off valve and the o-ring inside keeps getting chewed up with very little use (2-4 uses).  What is the problem and how do I solve it?

The o-ring on the on/off.  How do I tell if it is teflon?  Do you screw the on/off as far as it goes?

A Teflon o-ring is hard and not used in this application , the o-ring is most likely a buna-70 . My son had the sam combo and same problem. He finely listened to the oldman and bought a CP on/off and CP razor drop. For my money they are the absolute best
