it works really good......but......is the aluminum valve piece in the front supposed to take such a beating? its hard to describe.....  its the back part of the tube that the bolt slides over.....the valve is beating the **edited** out of the back of it...i want to know if this is normal wear and tear and if i should worry......otherwise it shoots super clean......nice and smooth action.

Nice find I have a 68 special in great condition as well. It just sits in my closet collecting dust, but they are fun as hell to shoot. I love going to the field with it, as soon as you start firing it everyone turns to see what the hell that noise is. I love the real loud sound of the gun. How do you like the kick as well? It's the only paintball gun I have ever fired that kicks like a real gun. Have fun with it.

what kind of "kick" would you compare it too?  i hope nothing worse than a .22 or that would get annoying.

it does kick alot......its not like i dont like it tho...i think its cool.  Its funny when it runs out of air cuz it jacks your arm pretty good.  To be honest, if i was just messing around with friends, id much rather use this thing than my 98. Its actually not that bad on gas either...at least 1000 per 20 oz.

some of the older guns had fairly heavy inturnals and you would feel some recoil. you feel it in your shoulder when it recocks more than on the muzzle when it fires.

even at that its not much.

yea...its not a ton of kick but more than any modern gun...and no, none of my co2 tanks have a siphon tube in them...too lazy to buy one i guess...when i took it apart to check out the internals, i lol'd at the air hose.  Its a little thicker than the ink tube in a normal pen, and it has a coiled spring around it.
