Hello,

I just installed the RT on my A5. After a little playing with it I can get strings of 5 out of it. From what I read this is good.

Now on to the not so good part! I think I may have an air leak somewhere. Today I tested it with just over 1000PSI in my HPA tank. I only shot 30-40 shots and tank was at zero.

Does this seem to be using too much air? I might just be out to lunch. If it does seem like a hog, what should I check first?

Thanks,
cramd

Tippmanns are gas hogs in general. But that IS pretty low. Did you teflon tape/loctite the gas line when you reinstalled it to the valve after switching power tubes?

I did neither. Do you mean the gas line that goes from the receiver to the cyclone? I just want to make sure I put the tape in the correct place.

Thanks

Ok it is worse then I thought! I had a buddy bring over his A5 with RT and they are not working the same at all. Mine seems to not be getting enought pressure to the piston. If I turn the RT screw all the way in and shoot off 5-6 rounds the trigger gets a little stiff then soft again. When I did this on my buddies gun it went stiff to the point where you could not pull the trigger again.

This has pretty much shown me that there is a leak somewhere. Should I add teflon to all the screws on the RT?

Thanks
marc

well if you turn the screw all the way in, and it doesn't get very hard/impossible to pull the trigger after a couple of shots, there's something leaking in the R/T. make sure the o-rings are still intact on the banjo fitting, and the flow control valve. i'd either use teflon, or (i've had better luck with) loctite. just don't use too much.
