paintballing in north olmsted (where i live near)is illeagle and we didnt know that because paintball markers are considered firearms so we were playing in a tiny woods in north olmsted and we decided to play a whole woods game so we both went to each side of the the woods then my team ran through a field oposite of the then we went to theirr side but they were by houses and one of the idiots on my teams started fireing at them even thiough thwe were hiding behind sheds and whhelbarrows and fences so there was paint everywhere and this lady comes out and starts yelling at us so we run into the middle of the woods and start playing another game but the woman called the cops and we didnt know it. they had 8 cops surrounding the woods they had the K-9 force there and then they all ran in at the same time then ryan(my friend) doesnt see them and he continues firing and he missed one of the cops by a couple of inches then they escort us to their cop cars and ask who we were where we lived etc etc then they asked who was shooting the pink paint becuase that was the paint on everything so we told who it was and they already said that the kid with the pink paint has at least 8 hours of community service and one of the house owners whos shed was shot wasnt home so they might press charges and me and ryan might not be able to get our guns back there was 6 kids and 8 cops what did they think we were going to do??? they took our weapons o yea ui just learned that the person who decides if we get our guns back is really good friends with ryans dad but why is paintballing illeagle that pisses me off that was the first time i got to play with my brand new A-5(sorry about no punctuation) dont you think paintballing should be leagle? -------------

He hasn't done anything wrong in this thread that would constitute any of you people to be morons to him accept for the annoying italics and lack of periods. In any case, of course we all would think that paintball should be legal. However, it's techinically illegal no matter where you are if you are not playing within a sanctioned field. Do I think paintball markers should be concidered FireArms? i agree with you, but the law is the law, they can petition against it if they dont like it, but as longs it calls it a firearm, thats what it is, thats just the law. and technically the c3 is a firearm because it uses an explosive charge to send the paintball on its path, but be that aside, im not sayin backyard paintball is bad, provided your not stupid about it, and his friends were definitely stupid about it and paintball IS legal

I agree. Do NOT hide anywhere NEAR property, let alone BE on someones property using their SHEDS AND HOUSES as bunkers. That was just stupid and whomever took part in such activities does not deserve to own a marker.

I haven't had that much trouble reading something since my girlfriend when I was in 9th grade. She had the spelling of a 4th grader. But at least she used punctuation. Their are reasons paintball is concidered ill-eagle. one being the fact that theirs a projectile that can cause serious damage and even death. Also, if it was openly leagal to just go out and have a game, everyones house would be multi colored. And next time, run like hell, you don't have to out run the dog, just the rest of your friends. Sorry for any major spelling mistakes, I've been working the last 32 hours almost non stop. Its starting to take its toll... ------------- You can go far with a smile. Yes ill eagles are a sad sight, something has to be done.
All we have to thank for paintball becoming illegal in many communities is the actions of those who have used thier paintball markers outside of the game, for purposes outside of the game, all in the name of fun at the time. The days of paintcovered street signs, paintcovered homes and autos, drive-by paintgun "hits", all fun for those at the time, have now come back to hurt those who follow. So we can not blame our local governments, you blame those who made your local government take the actions they have. Under many civil codes, paintball markers do come under "firearm" and as long as you follow the local guidelines of the law, you are legal. -------------

i think paintball and airsoft should have their own category instead of being either firearms or toys. Of course you should have asked the land owners. Anyone who does this on private property should definately have their gun taken away. as far as if it should be legal. paintball is a very misunderstood sport. it is very safe as long as rules are followed. the people who make these laws should at least play or watch a few games before making any decisions. To most, shooting balls of paint at 300fps out of a gun is barbaric but that's because they don't know much about it. its like saying you don't like seafood even though you've never tried it. ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

ok the reason i have no punctuation is because i pasted this from AIM and noone uses punctuation there and i suck at typing fast to i have a ton of mis-spelled words
i agree with you 100% if i would have known these kids were stupid enough to do this i would not have been playing with them
one of the kids told us to go and play at that neightborhood even though we had a huge woods on the street that 5 of the kids lived on -------------

dude that sucks i know people who would do the same thing my friend had his gun taken away because he was shooting cars the other day me and a couple of friends were playing airsoft and we were walking out he shot us with full auto and stuff paintballs- with great power come great idiots -------------  if you put 500 dollars into an A5 it is still an A5

Back on topic, why do you think paintball on trespassed property should be legal? You're getting paint on everything, running around, and possibly damaging private property, in addition to putting non-participants in danger.
If you want to play and not go to a field, do it on your own property with people you trust. |

i remember back in 8th grade there was a petition signed by students against a teacher, but another teacher took it and put it in the kiln (it happened in art class and no one liked the band teacher), the art teacher was a pretty mean lady sometimes, although we deserved to get yelled at sometimes i guess |
