i love .357s my friend had 2 of them. one was short barreled and the other was a longer barrel 6 shot each. he sold both of them for a 44 semi automatic ------------- what? |

| Rossi/Tarus makes fine revolvers, especially considering the price. However, I see no reason to go cheap on something you are likely to have for the rest of your life. Smith and Wessson's 8 shot .357 is probably what I'd want in that caliber. |

I don't hunt or own a gun. I have shot plenty of guns, just never owned one. I probably will someday. However I have no interest in hunting. |

Funny story comes to mind when a .357 mag is mentioned. I was 2, sleeping at 8 pm, and there is a shootout two houses down between drug cartels, one of them columbian cartel records, an old rap label that im sure none of you have heard of. Story behind the shootout is someone hihg up in the label's ranks was messing with this one guys girl from the other drug cartel. The second drug cartel plans to run up on the guy from the first cartel, guy gets wind of the attack, he has a few friends come over to is house, strapped and ready shoot, obviously. The second drug cartel people(4) run in and are met with 6 people guns and firing before the first guy could get his gun up to shoot. Back to my house: Im in my bed/crib, still asleep, and my mom is right beside me, .357 aimed and ready for anyone to come in(if you were to take a left the door of my room is at the end of a 5 foot long hallway), while my dad is in the living room(to the right of the front door) with a pump 12 guage keeping an eye on both doors(because he could see the front and back door from where he was) I think it ended with 5 people dead and 2 in custody. And since I feel like sharing, one fo the guys that were shot managed to crawl/walk into our back yard, screeming in pain because he had been shot in his femral artery. My dad walked to the back window, opned it up, the guy told him he had been shot, and my dad let him know that if he came any closer he was gonna get shot again. And then other randomly awesome things happened, but i need to go now. I also slept through the whole thing, proving me = gangsta. Anyway, back to .357's -------------

So did my wife. She shot a stalker in the leg, she was aiming for the family jewels but the lil shub nose .25 at 30 feet is a lil inaccurate, and I am sure she was shaking. I own 3 rifles and try not to get her too mad. -------------

I own a Colt Python, polished nickel with a 4" barrel. I actually had two, the other one was blued with a 6" barrel. Of the two I shot better with the 4" gun, so I sold the other one. There is no better revolver than the Colt Python, period. I've fired a $5000 dollar Korth .357 and it wasn't as good a gun as any of the 3 Pythons I've owned over the years. no...not ROSSI......they are junk and I'll explain why...the cylinders lose their timing which causes "shaves" as the bullet it enters the forcing cone...and it happens faster than 1000 rounds too. Anyone standing near you and even with the cylinder will catch copper jacket shavings or lead ribbons in their arms/chest. Then try to get them to fix it under the warranty without them saying you abused it. Good luck. I suggest a smith and wesson 586 (adj sights, target trigger) or 686 (fixed sights/service revolver) ( both in .357 Mag) or a 629 Classic in .44 Mag. ------------- 68 Classic Mag; PMI .68 Magnum; Maxed Stage5 Ion; M98 Scenario creation in the works; - You EPunks are all alike-all mouth until you reach the tailgate section of the field...then you "were j/j" |

.357 is the funnest pistol I have ever shot. I suggest smith and wesson with a long barrel.
The other cool thing is you can shoot .38 special out of a .357 to save a little cash ------------- N is for nowledge |

Wheel guns are fun, I have a few older models. .455 Welbey, .45long colt Dragoon, Ruger .44Mag.
But my service carry while I was a US Mashall as well home protection is a M1911A1 Government. Hit a bad guy with a .357mag in the shoulder you get a big hole, hit em with a .45acp and the arm comes off. And you are right, real life is not like hollywood, you need to hit em at least twice, hit em once and there is a tendancy for the target to pop up and shoot back, madder than before. Two center mass, and one in the "brain housing group" and the odds of a pop up shoot back drops considerably. -------------
