I know everyone is sick of these linux threads, but I got a dual boot
of Ubuntu 5.10 and Windows XP on seperate disks working the other day.
My Theme is a customized with the T-ish theme from
http://www.gnome-look.org/ - gnome-look.org and some Mac OS
style icons. Everything's been working pretty smoothly with Ubuntu, except it seems that I've been having some trouble with sudo apt-get install. Apparently the packages that I wanted weren't available such as xmms. I tried a bunch of stuff, even logging in as root, but it keeps saying it's not available. I'm a member of ubuntuforums.org now, so maybe I'll look around there more. cheers. -------------  irc.esper.net #paintball |

Nice. I was going to use Umbuntu's SAMBA for my server, but my Mom doesn't understand linux so I had to use win2k server. -------------

You have to enable universe and multiverse repositories to get the other packages.
