i would never want a paintball gun just to look at, its a waste

tippys are meant to be abused and get dirty

If anyone buys one of these and plays with it, I will personally call Chuck Norris and have him kick them in the head

i would too i mean i have limited edition lacrosse gloves that cost more then that and i happily play with them and love it. i believe there is nothing too nice to be used for the purpose it was built. That gun was made to be used and if i had one i would use it. i would take good care of it of course but i would still get some good use out of it.

Can I borrow some rope and a bucket?

By far the lamest paintball product I have ever seen.

no doubt, cmon Tippmann....it's been 20 years and the best you can do is a 98 Custom with gold trim????

i say if they are doing something like that, they should have waited 5 more years and made a silver plated gun for their silver anniversary. more expensive, but cooler looking.

also, they should make like 100 of them. that way, collectors will have no choice but to pay the 500 dollar price tag.

pshh...i think its pretty cool lookin for a 98 custom, and the only reason its priced that high is because gold plating does not go for cheap.  Yes, it is a gun FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES, which is probably going to be for tippmann fanatics and such.  Id def. buy one if someone would give me the cash, but id much rather have something i wouldnt feel bad about using.
