Ok, since I'm poor and I know I probably wont have a decent system anytime soon, does anyone know of any good games that don't require an uber 'puter? I imagine some other folks are in the same position as I, so for them I won't specify specific system specs, but I'm on a 2 year old Dell laptop. All genres are good too. Elighten me oh wise ones!

well if you want a shooting game look for operation flashpoint (if you can run it) most realistic shooting game ever made. graphics suck but graphics are overrated. it really beats ever modern shooting game by far.

Starcraft. Definately one of the classics. Very addicting, strategic, and fun.

It feels pretty rewarding strafing the decks of Japanesse aircraft carriers and destroying the Zeros before they get a chance to get in the air and fight back. Or being a key player in American POW's escape by destroying the gates and guard towers of the enemy camps. Or cutting off Nazi tank divisions by bombing bridges. I could go on and on. The game is simply amazing in my opinion. The ending is a bit over the top though. I don't like the whole "boss" battles in games like this.

Starcraft FTW! Seriously, this game ate my life for about a year, and I still occasionally go back to it.

Yep.

I actually bought SWON in a bundle pack at Wal-Mart. It came with MOH:AA, MOH: Pacific Assult, and Battlefield 1942. The whole kit was like, 20 bucks.

When I legit buy video games, I buy from Wal-Mart. Discount isle FTW.

If you define cowardice as running away at the first sign of danger, screaming and tripping and begging for mercy, then yes, Mr. Brave man, I guess I'm a coward.
