not for over 8 years.

copy and paste to why for both this thread and me not for oever 8 years

Quote <MBro> and that's the ONLY time I have ever felt that way
<MBro> since I was in 6 grade
<choopie911> what happened in grade 6
* MBro goes to brush his teeth
<MBro> explain in 4 minutes
<choopie911> k
* MBro is back
<MBro> grade six is the last time i cried
<MBro> ever
<MBro> i got into a fight with my parents about mothign
<MBro> which turned into a fight with just my dad
<choopie911> man, you havent cried in ages
<MBro> because he has a love of fighting
<MBro> choopie911, yeah i know
<MBro> so we're fighting just me and him
<MBro> and i end up crying
<choopie911> crazy
<MBro> and just the look that he got on his face when i started crying
<choopie911> hell, I've probably cried in the last year
<MBro> made me realize that, that was what he was looking for
<choopie911> hmm, no, not 06
<MBro> some sort of satisfaction
<choopie911> he wanted you to cry?
<choopie911> weak
<MBro> a mark of victory
<MBro> something
<MBro> it was just something with how he looked at me
<MBro> that ever since then
<MBro> i've refused to cry
<MBro> because i refuse to give anyone victory over me
<MBro> because i'm always going to be th emost powerfull person in my world
<MBro> no matter how big they are
<MBro> like that guy tonight
<choopie911> what if the last thing they want to do is make you cry
<MBro> he could have beat me senseless
<choopie911> they own you until you cry
<choopie911> then they're like "**edited**, now what do I do, I'm powerless"
<MBro> but he still would not have gotten one look of subordiantion from me
<choopie911> This calls for a thread
<MBro> the last thing they want to do?
<MBro> then that's a good thing
<MBro> if that's what they want
<MBro> they're not gonna get it
<MBro> and post away

What the hell is wrong with you people?

How could somebody not cry for a year.  That's just awful.  I cry monthly at the very least.  Even if it's not like, a full-on sob I'll at least get teary and have that  feeling in my nose.

Actually, I probably get teary about once a week.

3rd was when I was told I was moving away from my friends that I've known for over 8 years.

Last time i full on cried was when my grandma died when i was 12. Seeing my dad at the funeral was something i couldnt bear to watch.

Then like 3 months ago, some big drama happened here with some of my friends, and i was drunk, so i shed 3 tears. Does that count?

But since then, I haven't really cried, cried. Tears, yeah, but not like bawling.

No it doesnt... I'd say it takes a good amount of mental stability, for a man to be able to cry, and not worry about things like "oh no, crying makes me look like a girl"

Understandable. I just hate how the word 'emo' gets thrown around these days. It used to mean a specific genre of pretty decent music.

Today though, it seems every whiny pop punk band gets labeled as emo. The same with kids wearing girls pants adn eyeliner that listen to Fall Out Boy and complain how their dad doesn't understand them.

yea, and every other person in the world faces pollution if they reside in close proximity to an industrial/power/whatever plant. not breakin your balls, but to say li has pollution for some plants while plants exist everywhere is a little narrow. then again, the expesnses and being crowded to get frustrating sometimes

to each their own. i dont really like rap, but i realize its a big part of the industry and i dont care whether or not anyone else listens to it. it doesnt affect you in any way so get over it. oh, and last time i cried was at my grandmothers funeral. she was only 59......

I'm not exactly stable some of the time, so I'll leave that out.

The standout times for me were:

My friend's dad died. I cried for him, and I cried for my friend. I was doing ok until the funeral. The weight of what my friend lost, almost all of his life, in that one moment, overwhelmed me.

My friend Cindy died. We worked together and went out a couple of times. She was so tiny and always had a smile on her face. We were always joking around and work was always better when she was there. She was going to be a nurse. She was ready to graduate. They found her on somebody's lawn. OD'ed. I don't know if it's something somebody gave her, or if she messed up, but she was small enough it wouldn't have taken much. The 's didn't even take her to the hospital. They just dumped her like so much trash. I'd kill them all with my hands to give her her life back. I found out on my way to see my girlfriend (now wife). I'd stopped for gas and ran into a guy we'd both worked with. I drove the hour and a half in a haze, but I didn't cry until I had to tell my girl what'd happened to Cindy. Voicing it was too much.

And I swear I've seen her ghost. I visit her grave every July 8th.

I cried yesterday watching the reuniting of a man and his dog after Katrina on Animal Planet.

I cry at the end of Saving Private Ryan with the old man asking if he'd led a good life, every time I see it.

I teared up this morning reading a story about the wife of a fallen Marine.

And cried on Saturday watching the procession of fallen Fairfax County detective Vicky Armel, while thinking of her two children.

Didn't cry when my grandmother died last month, but definitely cried tears of anger two days prior to her death upon learning she had been left alone in the scary ER next to some screaming drugged out dude. She shouldn't have been left alone.

I ain't too proud or too manly to cry.

Cried a little bit during the last eposide of Six Feet Under

I cry. I usually laugh when I get hurt physically. I don't
know why. But I get a bit teary eyed when I feel upset
or I get in such deep thoughts that I get confused
and then I cry when I can't find any answers.

Sometimes there is nothing better than a good 'ol cry

Funeral wise...I never cry. People think I'm crazy or
something cuz I don't cry at funeral. They'll say," do
you not care?" I do care, but maybe 2 weeks after a
funeral it will hit me that they're really gone and then I
can't stop crying.

Last time I cried was Sat. I was making out and then
my braces got caught on my boyfriend's lip and
ripped it. I felt terrible. He thought it was funny.

Whatever. Maybe I shouldn't care so much, but when your favorite type of music is so misunderstood, misinterpretted, and stereotyped by nearly everyone, it makes me want to kind of set things straight. I agree, what people think emo is these days, is terrible, god-awful music. The same goes for what a lot of people claim punk is. This doesn't mean that all punk sucks and punk is dead.

Additionally, people that say that emo isn't punk fail to realize that once upon a time (circa 1987-the 90's) emo was punk. It was an outgrowth of hardcore punk. In fact emo gets its name from emotional hardcore, or emocore, which became known as "emo" for short. This started with bands like Fugazi, Rites Of Spring, Moss Icon, and Embrace.

Now, listen to a band like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Hawthorne Heights, etc. They don't sound anything like hardcore. Instead they're pop punk. This is what is called "emo" today. All I want is my favorite style of music to be respected, because there is a huge difference between the original emo and its sub-genres and what's out there today.

To draw an analogy, it's the same thing as the lame gansta rap that exists today and the old school rap from the 80's. They're completely different, yet they are all still referred to as rap.

Anyway, once again, I'm sorry that I care so much. If anyone wants to get an idea of what I'm talking about, listen to the albums Fuel For The Hate Game or Finding The Rhythms by Hot Water Music. They're a pretty well known band, and those albums are a decent glimpse into the style of music that I'm talking about.

They're not even pop punk. Listen to the **edited**s or Screeching Weasel, then some of that other crap, and it's not even close.

You're right. They're not even deserving of the punk part. Straight up pop.

it's a legit question.  if i was calling him an emo, i would make a witty joke.
Agreed.

Anywho I havnt full on cried for a while. I cried a lil bit the first time I was kicked out. Since then I havnt.

Kicked out of what?

Incorrect sir.

Nono, whale, what you listen to is real punk. I mean what punk "apparently" is now. Good charlotte, blink 182, etc. Its not punk, at all, but thats what people call it. I'm cool with your music

Last time I remember crying was 8th grade graduation, which was over ten years ago.

And last weekend when I read a sad newspaper article.

I haven't cried in almost 9 years now.

To me it just seems so irrational and pointless. Nothing is ever so helpless as to just breakdown and cry.

I usually just get angry.

But hey, maybe all that will change when i get to the 'Stan

I've cried about twice since the beginning of the year.

I never cry because of physical pain or something, not trying to look tough just reassuring.
