To have a good "accurate" gun, you must have two things. First, good air consistancy. Second, a good paint to barrel match. With these two things any gun can be as accurate as any other gun.

Edit- carl_the_sniper why dont you help answer questions instead of posting crap that has nothing to do with the question? Is it some kind of feeble attempt to get your post count up? I would really like to know, because I have never seen you post anything but crap.

And a good barrel, of course. I don't care how consistent your marker is, or how good you paint to barrel match is... if the barrel you are using is bad, then you're accuracy is going to be bad. Like the stock 98c barrel.

Other than that though, theres really nothing that will set two markers' accuracy apart.

you gotta be accurate too... if you suck at aiming... you're not gonna hit anything... people often forget this.  i can't hand you a dm6 with the best regs and the perfect paint to barrel match and have you hit quarters if you suck at aiming.

Ditto.  Spend your money on paint instead of a new barrel.  Then practice, practice, practice.  Your accuracy is controlled by you not your barrel.  Once you develop good accuracy a better barrel may make shots easier but no barrel will turn a miss into a hit.  For instance, in my case with my M98 the difference in accuracy between the stock barrel and my J&J is less than 2 inches at 100 feet.  So, in the end does it matter if I hit you in the center of the chest or in the shoulder, a hit is still a hit.  Practice will help make you a better player overall no matter what equipment you have.

it seems that pump guns are more accurate as well. igues maybe cause your firing so slow and have time to level each shot maybe? who knows. but who really needs to aim when you can spray 'n' pray.

Well it doesn't matter to a certain extent what marker you have to make it accurate.  Just as others have said 1. good barrel (freak, dye, etc.) and 2. paint size to match.  If you want accurate, durable and cheap, go with a 98 custom, with a freak or dye kit.

And yea, its real good if you can get around 2 inches with a stock barrel, then with a good one your accuracy will be perfect.

The stock 98 barrel isn't really a bad barrel it just has a huge bore to accomodate any paint.  If you could find paint huge enough to match the 98 barrel it would work good too.  A good match is just as important for efficiency if not more than it is important for accuracy.
