The only threads I locked recently were the ones where members were
blatantly harrassing Linus or trying to pick a fight with him. I will
not slack on that since if you read Tippmanns term's of use policy,
that behavior will not be tolerated. Dont belive me? I have no problem
guesting accounts. It has gone on over a year now. To the members that
are particpating in it, Grow up already or stop whining about the
consequences. If other threads have been locked, appearently a different mod wasnt amused either whatever was in them and locked them. I havent been on much lately but I know have popped in and stopped by. FYI: Just because it amuses some members, doesnt mean it is appropriate. If you feel it is too strict here, find yourself a different forum that allows the junk that gets locked. Or make your own forum. That was popular a few years back until everyone that made one realised nobody cared about what was posted on them and nobody joined. Next time, send a pm. |

He has a right to lock it now since it has gone from discussion to people bashing him or his methods. And he does what he is supposed to, but humor or a witty putdown(as was tradition a while ago) would be awesome and make his work alot less frustrating and tolerable(for me/us). -------------

So, lets see or hear some examples of how horrible I am. Which thread shouldnt I have locked and why lets hear why not? You do realise that I didnt just wake up with an account with mod capabilities as some of you dream will someday happen to you. There is a fine line sometimes with what should be allowed to take place and be posted here. Being the judge of that isnt always the easiest or the most popular thing to do. And if you dont think I am fun anymore, realise that your not looking hard enough for the humor. This account was originally created as a joke. I didnt realise that I have to spell it out every time sarcasm is used. Lighten up folks.... And I still would like to see some evidence or threads I lock that werent deserving.  |

I think the main gripe that people were having was with the Linus thread. But that might have deserved locking, I don't know. But that hacking thread was so funny... It was good laughs, and IMO it didn't need locked.(not that my opinion matters) Hell, I don't even know why I'm posting... -------------

My other account has over 10k posts, I would consider that contributing.... Your right I would like to go out in the other topic areas and help out in the paintball sections of the forum like I used to but life gets busy and since most of the questions are about markers and gear I no longer have or use, it is hard so I appreciate it when members that can help with accurate info do so. And when I post, I dont try to come off as condencending but hence why everyone's sarcasm meters need to be put on ultra sensitive. |

Most people outside of chat/regs don't know what your other account is. That might be the reason why they don't often see the humor. However everybody that posted in this thread does, with the the possible exception of savage. Oh, and Whale... I don't think he wanted his other account name disseminated. Just like some of the other mods don't want thier account names disseminated. -------------

(I deleted the first and last part because I'm not trying to refute that, and I know that you are deserving of the status) I realize that the cliche what popular is not always right and so on and so forth is indeed correct in this matter, but I know you are more creative than what you let on as a mod. Shenk and various others came up with images for locked threads, I think it was pepprdog(I really doubt I am anywhere close on that though) that would replace violating sigs with the forum dunce sigs. If a strike wasn't warranted for the offense, then the violater would get a rediculous title of some sort. I know it's lame, but it helps sometimes to sweat the small stuff. And maybe it is the fact that I am looking in the wrong places for the humor. I see the dry tasteless sarcasm you put into certain posts(repeatedly. we get it, myspace is for losers or friendless people), and I realize the irony behind your name, but other than that I am not seeing the humor. Maybe you do better as lucifer, due to his lack of responsibilities, but I must be missing the humor there as well. Maybe I dont see enough of your posts. EDIT:

I am still confused as to what thread I locked that got everyone in an uproar.... Are you mad that I jokingly made fun of Choopie in his 13337 thread, that noone detected the sarcasm about? Not only was the sarcasm missed, it is a tad ironic that I am not that far behind him in number of posts. If your all still upset that I deleted the stone cutter thread, this forum doesnt need another self gratify clique to obstrize members from, you already have pbc.... So I am still missing where I am so horrible. I am not going to get mad. There have been some accusations made against me that I think need some explaination. I am puzzled as to why the sarcasm doesnt translate from one account to another when the people tending to be voicing their opinions are aware what my other account is. |

Haha. The funny thing is not only do I accidentally get blamed for some of the modding that isnt popular that I dont even do, but I dont really mind, I dont even get create for the fun stuff I do, do. I was the one that created and posted the dunce/sig violation pic on the _TT_ account. Also I created such classics as:  and  among others. I stopped using them because I personally thought they grew old and havent had time to create something new. Modding is a thankless job and I dont ask for any but how about cutting the people that do mod this forum some slack. Alot goes on behind the scenes that dont need to be disscussed or thanked for but before thinking ill about a mod at least understand you might not have all the facts straight. |

I could care less if one is appreciative, that wasnt the point. Just because you have pbc members that tell you everything that happens in the mod section doesnt mean it is all discussed there. |

God, it seems like you say lots of things that are missed or are sarcastic. If you want them to be taken as sarcastic, try to hint at it. When you post something "sarcastic" it just makes you look like a jerk. Under Hades, you always included which made it clear that you were being sarcastic. If people have missed it, I really havnt retalliated to any of the threads about me, and actually tried changing the subject. It really doesnt bother me much any more. I have changed a lot sine May of last year... I've actually made amends with some of the people I fought with because we mutually agreed that it was stupid and never should have happened. I've been here since 2002 and was at all times a helpful and contributing member, up until May of last year where, for no reason, I took an attack on my favorite type of music personally.
