WAS detects when the trigger is pulled a hell of alot more... usally for a E-tippmann, a Board is a board...  the only diffrence is firing modes. and the APE has a crap load to offer.

Without personal experience with the a-5 but plenty of experience with the was eq board I say the eq board is a waste for an a5.

On the other hand, I don't consider the eq's "not true full auto" to be a negative.  In fact it's quite amusing to pop of a few single shots just enough to get someone to stick their head out and come back blazing near 30bps full auto.

Another nice thing about the eq board and probably many other boards now is it's ability to compensate for misfeads in the fact that if there is a gap in the ball train the board stores trigger pulls and will cut balls loose at an alarming rate when they become available (faster than you can pull the trigger) The effect is huge and hard to explain without experiencing it for yourself.  It's like a ramping effect but it's not due to a bump up in dwell or some type of full auto feature but rather 1 shot for 1 pull in semi.

I still say just use the stock board and put your money elsewhere.
