theoretically, the R/T is at its full potential when the flow control screw(the little screw that you turn in and out), is all the way out. now, that being said, it depends on how fast you want to be shooting.
personally, i only have the screw about 1-1/2 threads out. i chrono-ed it last saturday, and i'm shooting between 10-11 bps....that's MORE than enough for me. IMO, any more than 10-12 bps is overkill....10 bps will lay out a nice string of paint, trust me. but if you want to rip off 15+ bps, twist the screw all the way out. just make sure you have a loader that can keep up.

The only thing left is getting used to activating the R/T, and being able to control it. It's probably taken me 6+ fills of my 20 oz. tank overall, but i've finally mastered my R/T. it's all about patience. the optimal spot is where the trigger is about halfway between where it rests and where it is fully depressed. it'll take a while to find it. when I first bought and installed my R/T, I wanted to return it after half a tank of practice. Just keep with it, it'll get easier. I've gotten to the point where I can shoot off bursts, as long or as short as I want to, and almost not think about it. but it does take time.

i got a question about my RT, if i got an LPK and i have the oversized hoses (like the super RT) is that equal to me having a regular RT because of the low pressure? or is it still a super RT ?

the only problem with your method of thinking:
1. there is a limit to the size of hose you could use to keep the R/T and/or cyclone working. remember: there is a limited supply of blowback compressed air/CO2/Nitro; it isn't a separate air source.
2. because of this, if the hoses get too big, the pressure inside the response trigger won't be large enough to push your finger back and reset the trigger.

i'd be willing to bet that if you used hose any larger than 1/8'', you'd run into trouble keeping the pressure. i'd bet Tippmann's R&D team did crazy amounts of experimenting and testing to figure out the optimal size hose for the standard R/T and the low-pressure (super) R/T hoses/hardware.

i bet if you wanted to you could connect the r/t into a seperate air source and not use blowback gases, that way you could use the 1/8 hoses with an LPK and it would be the same thing

i dont think it would work tho because there would be a constant flow of air through the r/t and that would probably cause them to blow or do something crazy

since you have an LPK the r/t will not be better compared to a marker without LPK, with r/t you would have to get 1/8 hoses, and it would not make the marker have super r/t since you actually do need the hoses in order to get a sufficient blowback air flow.

since you have LPK id say get an e-grip that way you can still hav a way to upgrade and such, but it is really up to you, a marker with LPK and 1/8 hoses sould still be able to reach around 17bps...id say an average of about 13-15 though
