i am getting a new upgrade soon and what do you think i should get:

either hpa tank, new barrel or q-loader

a few questions though

1) what is difference between different hpa tanks (like diff from a $100 one and a $300 one)

2) what barrel: either freak kit or all american or other. are there any other better kits than freak. or just generally what is favorite barrel.

Most of the time, the first upgrade is a firepower one, like a barrel. that's what i'd recommend. barrel kits are more expensive than just a single barrel, but they make up for it because they can be mixed and matched depending upon what type of paint you are using. if you aren't a hardcore paintballer, the two best bangs for your buck are either the Lapco Bigshot(around $50), or the J&J Ceramic barrel(around $30).

J&J Edge Kits are nice or an Evil Pipe Kit. I dont like freaks because they use inserts, I would rather have different backs rather than inserts.

what is wrong with inserts.

ok lets just say i want the most accurate barrel for whatever cost and durability doesnt matter.

is a barrel kit better than a bomstick.

I personally dont like inserts because they can get dinged, nicked, and bent fairly easy if you are not careful. My team and I travel alot to different games in the northeast, and one of my teammembers has had their inserts get bent while on the road. It personally up to you, but for me I would rather have separate backs rather than inserts.

accuracy = paint to bore matching. any, and all straight barrels will shoot about the same, as long as you make sure the bores match. for example, J&J ceramic barrels work better with medium bore paint; I use PMI premium paint, whereas a flatline will work better with smaller bores, like Marbilizers.

p.s. the 21'' sniper barrels won't give you any added distance over a 12-14'' barrel. it'll just waste more gas.

yeah, it is kinda random, but i don't want you to get that idea in your head.

there are plenty of companies trying to sucker potential buyers into buying rediculously long barrels, claiming that they will significantly boost distance. think of it this way: assuming the velocity is the same, and there are no other outside factors like wind, a ball shot from a 21'' barrel will land on the ground exactly 9'' further than a ball shot from a 12'' barrel. So i guess the companies are correct---it will boost distance, but if you are concerned about shooting 9'' farther, you need to re-assess your priorities.

im actually probably gona get a cyclone this weekend. do you think it will work on my us-5? and does the cyclone use extra air or excess air cause i only have a 9oz right now. and do you have to drill a hole to get it to fit.

and is the bit that sticks out around the gun (from the cyclone to the bolt) durable or could it fall apart?

can someone post a pic of the a5 from the very front with a hopper on?

oh and do you think the cyclone with hopper will get in the way of my scope and rail? (bty were not here to debate my scope)

i'm not sure if you'd have any clearance issues...because the cyclone is off to the side of the gun, you wouldn't have any clearance issues with the actual cyclone, but the hopper is pretty friggin' fat. do you have a front shot of your gun so we can see how wide your scope is?

a barrel isn't a firepower upgrade.

Firepower = E-bolt, Rt.

But yes, a barrel should be first if anything, then maybe a hopper and then a trigger.

That's what I did.

the cyclone feed would fit but today i went to a store and ordered the qloader. If they have them in stock it should be here in a week. And i like my us-5 better than a-5.

so can you guys provide any tips on q-loader. and can it be clamped to a barrel?
