First of all "hey again" its been awhile since ive been on here, but not that any of you missed me anyways. Now for the topic of my business I am once again consulting the almighty forumers for advice on a.. you guessed it.. a new ride. The word on the street A.K.A my Aunt has told me that my dad wants to buy a new car for my H.S graduation, so far my informant hasnt revealed any information on price limit, how "new" or if he has something in mind, im assuming whatever the circumstances it will be my choice within limits. So i have a few ideas in mind. Im not totally sure what type, im just lookin for some ideas. For some reason im drawn towards a 2005 mustang G.T... but i have MANY ideas in mind. I ride i am currently pimpin (sarcasm) is a 1995 honda Accord Ex-R (V6,leather,sunroof,C.D, power everything). ------------- USAF Special Weapons Technician. |

Dang wish my folks could have afforded to pull stunts like that.
But i dont think id opt for a car of any sorts. A nice small
pickup is FAR more usefull. If ya wanna go fast nothing beats a

...maybe for your case, but i never felt a truck was necessary for me, let alone more useful...and bikes are certainly not for everyone either (i can see what yur saying though)... ...good luck with whatever ride you got (and the v6 accord isnt a bad car). -------------

APU ill pick you up after i get back from beach week. But anyways, im keeping my options extremely open, due to the fact that i know so little about my options. There is a NICE prelude for sale down the road for me that i wouldnt mind acquiring. And on a side note my son is doin just fine, he's 18 months old now. And you all may be wondering why my options are so open with my car selection, well its because my, was girlfriend, now FIANCE has a 2001 Accord EX-R that will be our family car. My new vehicle will be our backup/fun/whatever car, and therefore can be just about anything. We really like S2000's but theres no back seat at all, so right now thats out of the question. Im looking at several different cars right now from a Type-R Integra,
to a Honda Prelude. VTEC would be nice but i'm not sure if I would end
up getting either of those cars yet, there's still other possibilitys.

i drove a few type-r's at a teg meet once and they're amazing (said to be best handling fwd ever)...its hard to find one and they're usually at least triple the price of a similar gsr/gs/ls integra, but worth it imo. if i didn't go the sedan route, i'd probably have a type-r. -------------

I want something thats a cross between looks and performance, i again for some reason like the 05'mustang GT's alot. I was also looking at a 05' Accord Ex couple which is also pretty sweet. This is difficult because there are soo many cars I like, and to pick one from 50 is difficult. But I hondas for their reliability,gas mileage, and just well rounded cars. But at the same time I want some that when you floor it, its going to put your butt in the seat..and also a vehicle thats fun to drive and generally just looks sweet. ------------- USAF Special Weapons Technician. |

Yes surprise gift, but i get to pick it out. I looked at some supras but for a twin turbo they are running like 35 grand.. and i thinkg at the most my limit will be like 25 or something, but most likely the most will be like 20k so lets keep it around there. I actually drive a supra the other day. It had a single turbo and some other mods that i cant think of, but either way i beat a coiple mustangs. There was a 1993 Rx-7 with 430hp for sale but thats def. not going to be practical in anyway. And it scared the poo outta me when i drove it, but after about 30 mins i got used to it, but it was impossible to not spin tires 1st-3rd gear... anyways keep em coming. ------------- USAF Special Weapons Technician. |

...for a 25k budget, def go for a new(er) car. 03-05 is300, 3.5 altimas, new wrx (maybe 04-05 STi), 03-04 g35/Z, newer mustang like you said, 02-04 330ci are all quick but practical cars.
...i'd avoid going the 'tuner' route just b/c its a risk to buy modded cars and chances are the whole tuner appeal won't last long and with the amount of $$$ you're gonna drop you'll be stuck w/ a kiddy ride. with an open decison (like what i had), dont rush and do research. i turned out happy. good luck -------------

I didnt know that 14 second quater mile time stock 250 pounds of torque at the wheels and 223 whp on a turboed car was slow....

I rode in a new srt-4 turbo on an eigth mile track, it got 9.462, not bad, but not that great, seeing as how it's turbocharged, the car sucked off the line, but had great top end. Wasnt impressed, My buddies s-10 with a 305 and a 454 cam with a 125 shot blew it out of the water. |
