but i went to the "darkside" just like so many ppl and i have to say the ion is really worth the money right out of the box with the halo TSA on it not one brake and the thing was shooting ropes i love it it was worth the 200 bucks now lets see should i keep it "ninja" or go red fetures for it ------------- <no ginormous sigs please> |

Ive been completely into woodsball ever since I started and im deffinately not going to speedball, But I know if I was a newb with no marker, id get an ion.
I think since ion's are relatively new still you havent seen if they can take a complete beating they might be the new 98 Custom :( Oh god... would smart parts be the new tippmann!?!?!?!!? -------------

That is what I have been saying for some time now. The Ion is cheap to buy, has tons of upgrades, can be built for either woods or speedball, but is way, way faster and leaps and bounds ahead of the 98 Custom technology wise. C'mon, Tippmann, the ball is in your court! Recusivetorrid has a modded Ion, and my GOD, that is probably the fastest marker I have ever shot, and it's effortless, even with ramping disabled. If I could find a way to mount a Flatline on it, I would probably never take another marker off the rack again. ------------- If I flee, kill me If I die, avenge me |

Here in T&O there is no shame to be had in other markers. Here, paintball is more about the people and personalities and less about what gun you shoot, or if you shoot at all.
