What about when the safety is assembled to the grip and it's off the gun?  Does it still not work?

The micro switch on the A5 is pressed down by the trigger in the static position ( on but not pulling the trigger). When you pull the trigger the actuator on the trigger pulls away from the micro switch activating the solenoid. This negative logic is basically to help with jarring and bumping the marker during a game so you don't get accidental discharges. But anyway the JCS is a very good trigger but it is also finicky. With you looking at the trigger assembly ( with it on the marker (DE-GASSED)) you can see the actuator of the trigger make sure it is pressing down the micro-switch , it only takes slight turn of the set screw to adjust the trigger to the proper hight, But it might take you several attempts to get it right. After you set the trigger to the correct position, set the marker to shoot full auto or ramping, then gas up the marker and take some test shots , see if the marker keeps shooting by itself , sometimes the trigger is set to sensitive and will take off on you. Any ways if you get extra shots you will have to readjust.
