I picked it up yesterday. It's an H.I.S. all Italian pipe with carbonized bowl. I must say I do enjoy it much better than my usual cigar. It is just about all the way broken-in and is easily the best smoke I have ever had in my life. She can produce a lot of smoke and has a very nice aroma. Notice the awesome bush hat I am wearing too.

My dad smoked a pipe for nearly 14 years, I've always enjoyed the aroma, He prefered some imported stuff, but for demostic he enjoyed Captian Black White pipe tabacco.

It can depend on how much tobacco you use and how fast you smoke it. A full bowl for me usually can last for about 15-20 minutes.

Wow, does the stuff burn slowly or something? I'm currently using my small metal pipe.

Beautiful pipe, that's the exact model I was going to get in a couple weeks.

Again, great choice.

What's your favourite tobacco?

I've been meaning to try the whiskey flavoured tobacco.

Thus far, I've kept to only captain black.

Let me know.

Pipes seem to instil a sort of "im classier than you and I know it" type of confidence in people.

And I like it. I wish I was cool enough to smoke a pipe.

I really love pipes and cigars and everything that has to do with smoking good herbs.  I don't own a pipe yet, but really, smoking a cigar is probably one of the most relaxing things in the world.  A few weeks ago, I came across some wierd brand of brandy soaked cigars or something like that.  They were really good.

My dad used to smoke pipes all the time, my uncle still does.

I always wanted a pipe like that.

When I smoke, it's a pipe. I like to try the various blends at the shop.

The pipe I have now, the one I posed with recently, is from Denmark, but I'm not sure of the maker. My friend got it for me as a gift when I carved him a pipe, and it looks much like the one I made for him. I'm going to carve myself a pipe this summer. It's a good project. Freehand pipes are my favorites, but I'm tempted to try a more rigid form, like a bulldog pipe. The look of the rough top from the surface of the briar is hard for me to turn down.

The key is good briar. Getting a flawless piece is hit or miss because the flaws may be under the surface. My first carving was crapped out because there was a flaw when I got down near the bowl and it would have burned through. I would love to have my own bits for drilling the bowls, but predrilled briar is fairly easy to get and not bad quality, but it limits you to one pipe per block.
