Has anyone else played it? I bought it yesterday, and I have to say, it's the most addicting game I've every played. The graphics are absolutely amazing. I'll stop in the middle of running around sometimes and just look around and watch the grass blow in the wind and be amazed at how real everything looks.

I have it, but my computer cannot handle it. I need a better video card/mobo.

Best game ever. I have it for 360. But it stopped working for some reason. So I'm trading one of my games for another copy.

My char is a Lvl. 9 maybe? He's a dark elf... born under the sign of the thief, acrobat class.

I have trouble leveling up..

I have a go-for-broke spellcaster. I'm sitting at around 570 magic points, and I have target spells that will do around 780 points of damage over 10 seconds, and touch spells that will do up to 1000 points of damage over the same time. However, my 100% weakness to magic, and my high elf elemental weaknesses make fighting anything else that uses magic tricky. That and using my most powerful spells nearly disarms me until I get some magic back. I get stuck on parts and have to walk away for awhile, so it's slow going.

And I still hate leveled enemies.

Personally I loved it. Found only one bug that, well, bugged the hell out of me. Stumbled on a wrecked ship, killed all the ghosts, and then found some quest to do exactly that. Now can't go kill them. So that quest can't be finished.

The leveling up badguys also annoyed me. I like some games to allow you to be the bees knees. I mean I'm a level 23 warrior carryign a Daedric bow with poison arrows and wearign enchanted glass armour, but the brigands and highway men have glass weapons? WTF? Sell your weapon for 10 000 gold and retire. Peasant.

One nice thing is the cumulative effect of enchanted items. My guy has 110% Chameleon. Basically he is invisible. I can walk up to a troll and beat it to death with my hands and it won't fight beack :)

It's a seriously fantastic game. However I'd suggest popping over to some of the mod's forums. There are some very very cool tweaks you can make to the game.

It's definately a good waste of around 85 hours of my life.

how do you enchant armor? because i have a full glass armor set, and i want it to be more "powerfull" then it already is. But i really have nothing to do with magic in this game, im more of a warrior.

You have to join the Mage's Guild so you have access to the Arcane University. You can enchant items with any spells you are able to cast.

You need an item to enchant, which can't already have an enchantment on it.

You need a soul gem with a soul in it, the best being Grand soul gem with a Grand soul in it. You can buy them at some guilds with the souls already in them. Otherwise you need Soul Trap and empty gems.

Then you go to the enchantment altar, select the item, the gem, the effect, and then name the item.

It might be difficult if you can't really cast much magic, and unlike Morrowind you can't pay others to enchant for you. There are finite limits to the power of enchantments. I have shoes, pants, a shirt, two rings, and an amulet that each boost my magic by 24 points, the max you can get from a Grand soul gem.

Meh. I suck then. I'm just a level 3 Nord. I've only had the game for a day though.

I liked the lower levels, and first getting into it. It's great just to wander and see what there is to see. There's a lot to see. Treasure chests in wading pools, caves and shrines all over. Good stuff.

I forgot to add that whenever you close an Oblivion gate you get a stone that, when you select it, will allow you to "auto-enchant" an item you have. It will have a passive effect for worn items, and an offensive effect for weapons. It's a one use thing.

So... close lots of gates.

^^^Do that, but what I do is, I quicksave before I grab the stone, and I grab it, and if it's something I don't want, I press f9 to reload, and pick it up again.  It's different every time.

Money making tip: Alchemist. Once you get to be a master of alchemy you can make a potion out of a single ingredient, so you can go down around Leyawin and get a crap load of green stain cups, turn them all into restore fatigue potions, then sell the potions for around 50 gold a piece. The skill based harvest mod helps too, it bases the chance of getting something on your alchemy skill, so once you get to be a master alchemist you always successfully harvest the plant. I've bought every house in the game, with all the furniture, and I still have around 300,000 gold.

The potions get pretty powerful as a master alchemist with full expert gear, my restore health potions are powerfull enough now that I can drink one and be almost invincible for around 30 seconds. You can make really powerfull poisons too, if you mix fly aminta caps (sp?) ectoplasm, imp gall, and spindle stick, you can make a potion that does shock, fire, and poison damage, for a total of 686 damage over 31 seconds. Add that to a sneak attack with a bow that's enchanted to deal 10 points each of fire, shock, and frost damage for 2 seconds, and just about everything is a one hit kill.

If you've got the master alchemy and you're in a hurry, you can walk into any merchant that sells food or alchemy supplies, buy everything cheap, make them into potions, and sell them back at a huge profit. Some rare items aren't worth this, but when you can buy apples for a gold a piece and turn them into powerful potions to sell back it works pretty well.

Im a level 21 orc thats born under the sign of the warrior and im a vampire. Im using the goldbrand (strongest sword in the game I believe) A few peices of Daedric and orcish armor and I have a few daedric quest items (Spell breaker, Whabbajack, Azuras star, Goldbrand as ive already mentioned) about 30k worth of gold and one house (I dont want more than one)

This game is more addicting than GTA. I cant wait for the updates for this (Ive herd that it is becoming online and you could also have sex with NPC's or something)

Either Goldbrand or Umbra is the best sword. Goldbrand's enchantment does more damage but Umbra's base damage is higher. So it's really a toss up.

Also, Umbra's soul trap will snag the souls of Xiviali, or however you spell it, who are normally spell resistant. They're grand souls and in grand soul gems become pretty useful. I like to hurt them quite a bit and then beat them down with Umbra because it's pricy to keep that thing charged.

I really liked Umbra from Morrowind. Just hanging out in the mountains.
