How about this? I cut my stock to 3" at a 45* angle. That I heard will give it
a flatline effect. It would look like this. (PS)

Why would an angle like that give you a flatline effect, if it did, it would spin the ball right into the ground.  More friction on the bottom for longer.

So I should cut it the other way? I'm glad I did this in ps first.

Yeah having more on the bottom would make it spin INTO the ground.

I wonder if doing it opposite would make it go up? or farther?

If you have a barrel you dont care about.. Do it. Why not?

I don't really know if cutting your barrel at a 45 degree angle with the angle sloping towards the gun(the opposite of the picture) would give you the flatline effect. The barrel wouldn't be long enough for the ball to actually get enough backspin, and your also assuming that the ball will ride along the top of the barrel. I would think that due to the force of gravity that the ball will ride along the bottom of the barrel. I believe the curve in the flatline is what makes the ball ride on the top of the barrel opposed to the bottom, but I could be wrong so please correct me.

People use to cut their stock barrels all the time. Its something you never see anymore, but I use to see it a lot years ago. Cut it right behind the porting in the middle of the barrel. As for that talk about cutting it at an angle. Who cares if it works, the flatline is crap to begin with. Just cut it straight.

I cut the barrel like \. It accually worked. (Just a little, but still). I can tweak
it to make them curve right or left.

Give it a tac cap rather than a hopper, and put a small 4 oz tank or something directly into the ASA, if your truely using it as a pistol

A stub nose barrel would also be better than an 8 in. it will ballance out more equally

Thing about the tac cap is that I will go through it in 3 sec. with my super r/t
in place. And I cut my stock barrel like \. It amazingly works well.

mill it, get a lapco stubby, paint it black, sell your r/t, get a twelve gram changer, and a tac cap. and then it will resemble a very ugly long pistol, kinda like the long barrelled desert eagle.........
