I'll be go as German. I'm also brining a large group of people with me.

Skirmish does over charge, but I'd be willing to pay more. I love D-Day.

I'd like to play there sometime. I hear it's like $70 for a case of paint.

actually it's 105$ per case but if you buy in bulk (which everyone just gets a big group together and one person buys it all with the money for 72$ a case

Just got back from D Day, the cost of a case was more like $85, $72 per case if you bought twelve or more.

The staff was pretty bad knowledge wise, none of them seemed to know where anything was or what was going on (even though they had been briefed the previous night, one guy at least told me "Yeah they told uslast night,  I forgot").  Some contradicted each other, even in the same conversation standing next to each other.

When asked where to find something (like parking, check in or air, or paint), everything was "Over There" (we never found where over there was) and nevere got anything more specific.  Air for example was over there.  I finally found an air station by the German reisertion point and was told by the staff working it, it was the only air station on the field for 4,000+ people.  I doubt that; however, if there was another air station I never found it and no member of the staff I asked was aware of any other.  If there wasn't one, why wasn't another air station available at the Aliied reinsertion point?  If there was, why didn't the staff seem to be aware of it or at least pass that info on to the Allied players?

I need a separate post to list every Mind of Mencia moment I experienced at the hands of the staff trying to find all the places I needed to go.  Even then the post will be long.

I figure Skirmish brought in six figures $$$$$ for the weekend between registrations, paints, air/co2, plus if they got anything $$$ off the vendors.  Skirmish should do a lot better running this than what they did.  When your dealing with thousands of people, you need to have things a bit more together than what the staff did.  If its going to continue to grow you better get your collective S*** together.

The beach invasion is a lot of fun, but I think next year instead of the whole weekend we'll make a morning of it instead.  Once the beach invasion is over the rest of it was pretty dull, disappointing, and way too expensive.

I agreed Da Mon, on Saturday we took a nature walk deep into the woods and somewhere along the lines some paintball broke out. You may have seen me by the PBnation tent (It was by the Refs building) and across from the BT/NPS trailer.

Some gret quotes from the Chrono Judge

(Me chronoing phantom) "Whats that, I've never seen that before, where'd you get it? "The internets" "Do you have to do that every time?" "Ya"

(Watching ref ask some kid to shoot his ion)

"this is a nice gun, you should get a dropforward"

He has talent.

D-day was great, our 5th year.  So its not cheap, the refs do a good job.  Skirmish has been improving things every year.  Look foward to next year already.

yeah I'm going back next year too.  Bringing some friends, we're going to organize a bit to get our supplies closer to the reinsertion point so we're not walking as much back and forth from the fields to the parking lot.

I did write the owners about what I thought they did well and not so well.  I got a reply, they say their improvement list is longer than mine.  :o)  Recognizing there is an issue is the first step in correcting it.

I'm doing Picasso Lake paintball this weekend with some firends from work.  My first time there.

We were in a tent right across from the Spyder Trailer, that was quite nice.
