No, the speedfeed does not spill paintballs. Paintballs go in but cannot come out. But anything else can go into the hopper as well (water, dirt, paint, etc).

Not is replace the hopper lid with plastic slits that let paintballs go in but not out. It eliminates opening/closing the lid and hopper spills.

They take some getting used to for sure, but once you get the reloading down they are very neat. Just be careful to not slide through dirt or the like, because there is no longer a lid sealing the paint from the outside.

iv been tempted to get one since i mainly play indoors so i dont have to worry about the dirt getting in.

seems like a cool system,  if you look at pro teams you will see alot of them.

Stick the pod over the new "lid" and the weight of the paint will force it through the tines and into the hopper.

It would be best I think on the new hybrid shells since they are easier to take apart to clean, but yeah getting shot right there and then paint all up in your hopper would not be good.

Im sticking with a lid. It's a good idea tho.

seems like it would kinda slow for feeding to me. since you have to wait for the balls to worm their way through the slots

The slots drop and the ball roll over them. Picture the feeder as a ramp that lowers to let in the paintball and when they all get in the ramp closes. The only thing is the ramp is made out of strips (really bad idea to me) because a solid "ramp" will hold the balls in just as good as the strips and not let in as much dirt.
