This is in the TOTM June, but i think i would get more replies with my own thread.

Suggestions? comments? Shoot, im open to new ideas

To do:
New board, maybe a mini morlock or a timmy board...

Set up a two way operation. Strangely, my ram is already equipped for two way operation, so all i really need to do is mod the body and either buy a new solenoid, or if i get the morlock board, use my other extra solenoid for the return.

Reg, i need a reg. maybe that will help with efficiency, this thing is a gas sucker

OTHER SUGGESTIONS ON EFFICIENCY? I REALLY NEED HELP WITH THIS!

Specs:

Body:
Model 98 Body
Removed Lettering
Removed Velosity Lip
Filled in Cocking slot
Rear Site Milling
Exposed Linkage Arm
Shaving inside grip
My NOT-SO-FAMOUS battery in front gip mod(see ultimate stickey, from when i was a more frequent member)
Wire Ditches(for running the wire through the gun)
Green Paintjob

Trigger/Electronics:
Psychoballistics Ebolt
Moved Board
Palmers Microrock
Battery in Frontgrip mod...
Trigger Job(Foretravel screw and trigger stop(replaces safety))
Super smooth roling microswitch(they are thoroughly amazing, the reason i moved my board to the bottom of the gripframe, so i could set the switch up right)
New Replacement Noid

Actual Upgrades:(not mentioned already)
Wgp grips
CP 12 inch barrel
Double Trigger.
Stainless Screw Kit
Aftermarket Bolt and Powertube(old one cracked)

I would recommed a trigger guard, a dye ultralite barrel, and a flat black powder coat or paintjob.

yeah, about the trigger guard. aparently the old 98s didnt have removable ones, so you had to cut them off, so back when it was my brothers gun he had to cut it off.

i like my barrel. its no worse thn any other barrel. an ultralite is just another polished barrel, they are no more accurate than any other.
The CP isnt any less accurate than the freak on my cocker when both are set up with a paint to bore match.

im also thinking adding my small drop forward from my cocker before i got a uni, or just get another uni for this.

Nice job on the gun. Isn't there still an aftermarket guard still floating
around somewhere?

Yeah, this gun isn't a wal-mart M98, it was purchased by my brother back before 98c's. So im not sure if the new m98's have removable ones or not, but i know this didn't.

Edit: does anyone have suggestions for making this beast more efficient? it seriously drained my hpa in like 4 minutes when i was testshooting it

A low pressure kit w/ a regulator preferably a AKA 2-liter set at 250psi-ish.

doesnt a lower operating pressure mean you have to raise velocity(which in my case is dwell) which makes the valve open longer causing less efficiency?

so the only thing i can do is get a reg and sweetspot? i was asking more along the lines of valve work, but i guess noone has had any experience with valve work for efficiency...

Did you even read anything? Had to cut the trigger guard off in order to fit the double trigger for the ebolt! Model 98's are like that...

Like styro said, a centerfeed would complete the speed ball look/feel. Out of curiousity, you said you drained your HPA tank in 4 minutes? What size/what's it compressed at? Also, was that shooting non-stop, or on and off? Great job on it, I can only dream of my 98 being that pimp.

well i was kind of exagerating there... its only a small 48/3000 and it was at 1500 and i drained it in like 3 minutes... nonstop for the most part

and i will look into centerfeed. would drilling holes destroy the finish though? any precautions i could take?

if you did it right and don't take the centerfeed off, i doubt it would ruin the finish...  look into a rufus dawg kit.

Ok, Thanks for suggestions guys!

Still wondering about efficiency mods. Once i get a reg, i mite mes around with the valve spring and LPR adjustment. Would Better valve flow increase efficincy, or no?

I might start thinking up ideas of making a different designed valve, because i dont personally think tippmann valves are made for efficiency...

I value your word not, because: First, you joined 9 days ago, and Second, the majority of your 47 posts are uneducated, insulting, and pointless.

Again, mainly, woodsballers and speedballers live in harmony on this forum, untill ignorance like you feels the need to bless us with your unwanted, and unneeded presence.

Please, anyone reading this, immuse yourselves by searching "woodsballer91" and laugh at his total ignorance and stupidity.

Well i could attach something with quiksteel, but im out, and i really didn't think it was a big deal. The field lets me play...

Another Idea: I think im gonna get some hollow tubing of some sort, run the wires through that, and mill the VA are out where i got the wires running through. Wouldn't that look cleaner? I wish  I would have thought about that before i painted...

If i do this, what will be more efficient, with or without the LP chamber?

If i do it, all that will be done in MY gun would be buying a regulator, making an LP Chamber(optional) and modding the valve.

I've got nothing wrong with woodsballers, but when they believe a milsim gun with 800 dollars of unneeded and useless parts strapped on it is more hard work than actually customizing your gun, thats what bugs me.

(Ive got nothing wrong with Milsimmers that actually customize either, the ones that bug me are the Drop-onners that say they are the most custom thing ever)
