ya, ive been looking around the internet all over the place and i havent found an answer. Is Tom clancy a Liberal or a Conservative? or something else? i dont really care what he is, but i just want to know. anyway...

I too often wondered that but coudln't really figure it out and quit trying. He writes amazing books though.

I am shocked by this - I don't know how anybody could read his books and not be aware of his rather staunch political views.

The later Jack Ryan novels in particular are virtually nothing but liberal-bashing.

I do agree, however, that he writes amazing books.  Or at least he used to.  These days, when he actually writes a book himself, he phones it in bigtime...

I think you will find plenty of "liberals" that write political/military thrillers - they just don't typically use their books as a platform for right-wing politics.
