I'm getting a new barrel for my Tippmann A5 (I haveb't purchased yet) and I'm stuck between two barrels the All American and the Lapco Bigshot. I'm a woodsballer.

P.S. I'm sorry if this has been posted already a million times, feel free to redirect me to a previous post.

Go with the http://www.countysports.com/shop/product.php?productid=2534&cat=306&page=1 - lapco bigshot , it is the best bang for your buck and you cann't go wrong going with a Lapco barrel, trust me on that one!
Just go with the bigshot and you will be carried away with its amazing accuarcy and range, I donno what a dye ultra light is but I am sure you will love the http://www.countysports.com/shop/product.php?productid=2534&cat=306&page=1 - lapco bigshot  on your A-5 because, man I do!

I am 98.6% woods/scenario and I know what's good out there!

I'm with seal, bigshot is the way to go.

Although its important to add that the only way a barrel can add range is backspin, so only the flatline and apex adds range.

yeah I think I might get the Lapco Bigshot because I heard from a guy that the Bore size for the All American is to big for most guns and it made mostly for smart parts guns like the shocker, or something like that.

Bore size has to do with paint, not guns.

Not sure if you saw my post above yours. its worth a read.

BOth will be loud, because of the large bore size.

How loud a barrel is doesnt matter though, unless your using a silencer(illegal unless registered) whoever your shooting at is going to hear you.

I'm ging to get the Lapco bigshot 14" but I was also thinking of getting an BT Apex barrel instead of the E Grip for my A5. What do you guys think? Does the E grip really make much of a difference?

-Better?
The bigshot is more accurate.

-Easier to clean?
The Ceramic has the "self cleaning"(if you break a paintball you can keep shooting and you supposedly get around %70 of your accuracy back)but in order to get it back to normal you still need a squeegie anyway, so they're about the same.

-Quality?
I'd have to go with lapco on this one.

Length does not matter. Match it up to your field position. 8"-10" for front 10"-12" for mid 12"-14" for back.  12" is a good all around length for woods.

I absolutely LOVE my E-grip. If you pair it with the JCS dual trigger...the things insane. The trigger is so light and easy to walk its amazing. I'd highly suggest it.

I heard Lapco Bigshots are heavy is this true? Would it be a good barrel for front position?

a barrel will honestly not slow you down...  seriusly, if it would be noticable, time to get out the weight set...

Get a lapco bigshot 14" or 12", it really doesn't matter.. I went with the 14" barrel!  Just remember the basic principals of buying a barrel Nothing below A 12" and nothing above a 16"! (Or was it 14"?)
-As for helping to clean a ball break in the bigshot, you can always X-mod it..
I call it X-moddding.. it is putting rain-x in your barrel (I just pored some in). Then twist your barrel around so the rain-x gets all round inside the barrel.... then WIPE OFF THE EXCESS RAIN-X!! I cut the bottom part of a old rag T-shirt and stuck it thru the barrel then buffed it out by going back and forth.
X-modding will help your barrel in case a paintball breaks in it. you shoot again and its clean ! I've encountered no problems with it and it makes you barrel easy to clean just like a J&J ceramic or whatever you call it.
- As for weight of the bigshot.... It doesn't weigh much if anything to me!
-Flatline doesn't give you accuarcy it just gives you range.. it's not really my style because if I were to shoot it and miss the person from far away it gives away your position and the person I missed will basically tell the whole other team (THERE HE IS!!) so basically you will be spotted if you shoot and miss too much. Plus it has a diet for expensive paint!
