*Stealth* - Very nice color tones, good feel overall, but the composition is a bit boring, either cut off the top of the frame, or frame the flower differently.

Pretty good. I take photos myself. Nothing special like yours just a digital. Maybe I'll post some.

I'll leave the composition just as it is, I've already sold two copies of it at 8x10 for 25$ a piece.

and just gave anyone with a printer a free copy!

thanks!

Absurd! No offense meant, but who the hell would buy a print of that shot for $25?

DeTrevni - Not a bad shot, nothing too interesting, but competent.

estcstpnt - A shame it was an overcast day, that would be a really cool shot if it were light differently.

DeTrevni - My backyard is blushing right now.
I thought there was nothing interestng here either, try looking at things in a different way. And by that, I mean, try looking at stuff from ground level, or up close, from a weird angle, normal stuff can really take on a new aspect.

A local place called surf's bought one for their walls (Cofee shop) and my floral manager bought a copy. When it comes to floral photography, You'll find your have pretty much three options for composition, And than you have macro. It pretty much comes down to the color and the flower, and if people like it.

If you sell, You'd be surprised at how people respond to pictures, My creative composure images dont sell nearly as well as my full on, Just going for color and clarity floral shots.

I've been at this for six years, and have been published by a couple publications. For consumer selling, Composition isn't all that, For publishing you need the creativity, But even than you'll see things along the line of that water lilly published every now and again.

Yeah, in anything, there are aesthetical elitists (guilty) who criticize things and look for "art."
Then, normal people come along and disregard those opinions.

Standards - No two peoples' are the same.

EDIT: Wow, I didn't know you were quite so accomplished, GJ.

Yea, I agree... It is quite dissapointing  what sells and what does'nt. General consumers are that way though.

This is more along the lines of what I would submit for competition and publishing.

Nice looking daylilies. I have some in the front yard just like yours.

Make sure you pinch the spent flower stems of the begonias so they'll come back next year.

Excellent pics.
