Hey

*Could you give me the names of 3 good barrels?

*What would be a good mask? I was thinking about the v-force   profiler. It is cheap and it has protection for your throut.

best barrel for price is a lapco bigshot i believe but i have never used one so i can't say for sure. i think the best barrel is an EVIL Pipe kit it's worth every penny.

Best mask ever = Empire E-vent

other decent barrels and masks
Freak Barrel
SmartParts barrels
All American Barrels

JT masks
PCS Mask
Vforce Masks

barrel length should be between 8 and 16 inches. anything longer then that and you will loose performance i have a 20inch barrel and the balls go 40feet and drop like a rock. it pretty much depends on what you want to spend$$$$$??

Pipes are good, not the best but are good barrels. Price is a big factor in determining what I recommend.

Vforce Profilers, JT Flex8's, E-vents or Avatars, Invision i3's. All expensive but masks should never be cheaped out on. Cost of mask < cost of glass eye

i am sorry but i didn't meant the profiler, it isn't cheap. i meant the v-force shield.

Nobody has suggested this but PROTO masks I think are the greatest. Theres the Switch FS and EL. EL is entry level, anti-fog(Still can but rarely does) and has clip in lenses (They come out really easy when taking it apart, but this will NOT affect saftey at all) and then theres the FS which is thermal(It will NOT fog up, ever) has the cool lense stuff too and is alot better than EL. The FS also has a double-lens thing in it to make sure it will not fog

Also, The FS is very similar to the Dye invision in lens-tech and everything. The only difference is the style mostly. And im not sure if Dye masks have the easy lens takeout stuff. Correct me if im wrong, but isnt Proto owned by Dye?

Proto is closely knitted to Dye, but I'm not sure how they are related.

Dye lenses are notoriously difficult to remove.

i would not recomend Dye! i hate Dye products, are you only wanting to spend 70$ total or on each item?

Dye haters are just as stupid as Dye fanboys.

At least explain why you don't like them....

their locklids pods showed shotty quality...  in several instances, their rhino covers where mis-shapen, ill-sized, or just had a "hurried" look to them, example would be the little grippies would be off center...  their invisions fit too snug...  they overprice almost everything..  other than that, they're okay.  but they seem to be either "hit or miss" when it comes to quality...  i havn't been disappointed by proto though...

My DYE C4 jersey has lasted me 2 years, with barely any signs of wear, even though it smells sorta bad now with all the paint thats been put onto it (rec grade paint does not wash out well).  Although my Invision's lense is VERY difficult to take out compared to other lense styles, it is one of the best masks I have ever worn.  The quality is superb on all of my DYE products, including the Rhino Cover.

I personally use a j&j ceramic 14 inch on my 98c and it is one of the most accurate barrels of all the pballers that i play with. Its light and very accurate but not all that great looking to some ppl(its just a straight barrel) .If you want looks and accuracy i'd go with another barrel.

My locklids work ok, one of them cracked but eh. The clear material (the actual pod part) seems way too thin. Fatboys>Locklids

I love both of my Rhino covers, especially the 04 model.

The Invisions seem meant for small heads, like the size of a grapefruit.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Dye is the lord of all paintball companies, but the people that hate on them (or any other company, for that matter) for no reason really irritate me.

I love my dye and all u have to do is put the mask in hot and i mean hot water and the lense goes in like butter... Anyways for a barrel go with a bigshot i got a 8inch and thats all you need, anything more then that just gets in the way

i just don't like Dye because everything i have ever purchased from them has been crapy. the foam fell off my invision, the mask was incredibly hard to take apart and put together for cleaning. the lock lid's i had broke my first day of play. a bunch of other stuff i don't feel like typing out, i just prefer evil, and empire over dye any day.
