jeez whats the big deal about ions? could someone plz tell me? my friend has one and i dont think its all that great. everyone should buy imps instead....... ------------- come with me if you want to live....... 98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. yeah i agree i personally dont like the ion. dont really have much experience with it's performance but i think it is ugly ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

Here's the mentality most people have. Imps are huge, old, and the upgrades for them are just as moldy. Ions are "plastic shockers", they're cheap, and they can be upgraded like crazy. |

They're great entry-level speedball guns that are awesome out of the box assuming you have HPA and a decent hopper. There are TONS of upgrades for them as well. ------------- Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good. |

Well... Same hype as when the Angel came out: fast, light, fairly efficient, etc. But this time, much cheaper. Did the original LED Angels have Eyes? Like the '97 ones. At any rate, SP has create a great product. Sure, n0t high-end like an Angel, but for $200.00, you get something that would've cost you around $400.00 a few years ago, possibly even a thousand back in the late 90s. ------------- "HO is right..." - Procarbinefreak |

I like my impulse, but, i do like the feel of the trigger frame for some reason, especially with a CP trigger -------------

on my old team, 3/6 people shot ions. including my friend's sister. they're good guns, but people need to understand they're going to break eventually, and when that time comes, you better know what you're doing, or a proshop will take advantage of you. ------------- X |

My friend bought 4 ions before he found one that worked. The only thing is

same is true with any gun. biggest problems iv had with mine in the year iv owned it was some leaky hoses and i snapped a qev in 1/2. a friend of mine had an imp. i shot the thing a few times and hated it compared to my gun since its about twice the size and wieght. the imp is an outdated platform. |

^^when upgraded its just as good as almost any gun, besides the weight and size but if you lift weights, it shouldnt be a problem, and if your good, you dont care about the size -------------

I wouldn't get an ION just because everyone flames them b/c everyone has one. If you get an ION you better do something entirely different to it. i have an ion, i camo painted the rubber part around the plastic and it looks pretty cool... i painted the rubber part because every color change kit you buy colors the plastic so i thought i'd do something different, and the guys i paintball with think it looks pretty sweet... and with the whole plastic thing, it's just a cover over the metal interior... it's actually quite durable, i can see where people think it's ugly and stuff, but i kinda like it. ------------- Smart Parts Ion Halo B w/rip drive 16" All-American Barrel 68/4500 pure energy tank WGP Black Magic regulator camo paintjob |
