So I recieved a free nano which I have no use for. It's 2 gigs, and I already have an mp3 player which is 20 gigraofthebytes. So now, I feel as if I should do something useful with it. I've been thinking of putting linux on it, and filling it up with NES games and making the nano video capable. Any suggestions?
PS. I want this thing to burn my hands becuase it is so madmike.

I don't think they make iPod Linux for the nano yet. It's still under development. http://www.ipodlinux.org - ipodlinux.org
edit- I could be wrong though.

They don't officially support the nano, but it still runs fine. I put it on and took it for a test run. I just need to get some launchers and stoof and then I can play iDoom and get a working Nes emulator. The video thing might be tricky, but I'll manage.
I got the ipod free with the macbook.

It's pretty cool. I like being able to get on the internet anywhere. I can't wait to edit some video on it. I've loaded it up with some great programs, and cannot wait to use them. I'd reccomend it if you're looking into getting a mac.

How are you able to get online anywhere with the macbook? Integrated card like those that Verizon sells and then charges you 80 bucks a month to use?

No, he means like, if theres an open wireless connection, click on it. If theres ethernet, plug it in. Thats it, theres no configuring, at all. You just plug it in, and you're online.

Gotcha. I just wondered because I heard that apple was thinking about incorporating something like that. I believe a couple of PC makers are already, just thought maybe apple had too....That'll be really nice, btw, one of these days when it's cheaper and the networks get a bit bigger....

Linux is an operating system. Just like windows xp or os x is an operating system. Linux is free, and can be put on an ipod, xbox, etc. Most people use linux for webservers, but some use different distros for everyday use.
