Be careful about "clicking through" a licence agreement to see a video on someone elses myspace page, and about where you get your own "cool vids" from.

You click on a videoclip on someone elses page and a popup asks if you agree to run said video. What you don't pay attention (or may not even be told) to is that you also agreed to install some adware called "Zango". Congratulations, you're now popup fodder. Just because you wanted to see the clip of someone tripping over a step and crapping their pants on impact. Thats not the worst of it. There are videoclip sites that allow you to add their clips to your myspace page for "free" that have this adware bundled into them(completely undocumented at said sites, of course. Now you're serving out said malware to your friends, who just wanted to see the tripped up crapping as well. All without your, or their, knowledge. If you see a videoclip from one of these sites, its probably adware infested. Don't watch it, and let your friend(or whoever pointed you to it) kow that they are serving out adware unintentionally. Meh, I'm on it, and I enjoy it. The people who rag on it all the time haven't been on it, and only have the perception that the news displays. It's fun to keep in touch with some friend that may have moved, you may have moved away from, and it's a good tool for finding new music. -------------

It doesn't matter to me. I really don't have much of a choice. My folks say no Myspace, and I don't care enough about it to spite them.

Yea Facebook is the best site for this kind of stuff, but I have a Myspace too so that I can keep up with friends that don't live in the US. |

I don't understand people that say Myspacers should get off the internet and make real friends. I don't have anybody added to mine that I don't know in person besides bands. And they're right, Myspace's best feature is finding new music.
