I currently own a tippmann 98 custom w/response, teardrop, expansion chamber, and evolution hopper.
I wanna upgrade to a better gun for tourneys and im looking to spend around 230$ maybe lil more.
Tell me what you recommend

Ion, B2K/PDS, Promaster if you wanna save some more. There's good deals on used guns too. Ebay or PBnation are your friends.

More easily than a Tippmann.
I forgot to mention that you will need an HPA tank and a good hopper for all three of those guns.

Getting all three would put you at the 450-500 mark. Is that too much?

Well, if you have the 98c and $230, I'd say buy an Ion for $200. You may even find one for less with upgrades already on it. Then use the extra money from the $230 plus the money you get from selling the 98c to get a HPA tank and decent loader.

well, promasters, new, stick above $360ish
and ive searched about 8 sites for the b2k4, where ive seen em, and they dont have them, just some bkos, but they arent as good as b2ks and they are more than an ion for some reason

What you could do, is buy an Angel that is about 4-5 years old. Stuff like the LED, LCD. You can get one of those for less than $300 over ebay or just from someone local who is selling there's.

well imps are really boxy, and big. a lot of people complain about size, some are really nice like rat jr. imps, or nasty imps, but just regular imps are so great without ups.

^*arn't?
but anyway, upped imps are okay if you don't mind weight... just buy one used...
i would lean towards the b2k4 because i don't support smart-parts... but that's just a beef i have.. The b2k and ion are pretty much the same... they balance out....

who ever told you that Ions break down a lot lied. I owned two of them and they were very reliable, i never had problems with either of them. They are great guns, 17 bps stock is pretty fast, and they are light. People say they have a "plastic" like feel to them, but it didnt feel any different than my DM3 so they dont no what they are talking about. If i were you I would get an ion, you really get the bang for ur buck.

^owned
imo i like the rubber/plastic on the ion, because its lighter than aluminum and stuff and the paint cant chip off. I had a 98c and the paint chipped off so easily and i was just sick of the beat up rugged look so i got an ion, and 17 bps stock totally owns. also, c02 is annoying because in cold weather everyone gets gun problems and compressed air is more accurate.
