Looks pretty cool. Could use a new feedneck. I dont really like how the trigger frame looks like it's on the center of the body. A snatch grip might look good to take up some space. Well, Warhead, as soon as I recieve your donation for parts, I will get another
grip frame. 
During play, noone will ever see the frame but me, and I am going for function over form here. As such, I just can't justify spending $100 plus for a frame at this point, especially when this one performs perfectly well.  . i dont like tactical ions. if you want the tactical look you should have bought an sp8. some other good upgrades are clamping feedneck, a unimount or something like it, a tec t or redz bolt or the lucky stage 1 and 2 for it. |

The body extends past the front of the body so the barrel is partway inside the gun, making it look shorter.

The SP8 is way to heavy and unwieldy for my tastes.
Not that the weight is a big deal, but it is senseless weight, as it's just an Ion trapped in a fat, cumbersome shell that adds nothing practical to the marker. Pooperscooper got it right ... the Deadlywind body barrel threads are recessed quite a way back into the body, creating an optical ilusion of sorts in terms of barrel length. ------------- If I flee, kill me If I die, avenge me |

And the SP8 is made of some sort of break easy plastic polymer, snap in half if you drop type stuff.

Tac-Ones, while very nice, are much, much heavier. I had my hands on a
Tac this weekend, and even with all I have added to my Ion, the Ion is still much lighter. I wanted a stock that I could fold up for CQC situations. ------------- If I flee, kill me If I die, avenge me |

Dont get no-rise get mid rise. The ccm no rise only take in about 1cm of the feedneck of the hopper(thats way it is on my friends proto) I have mid rise on my dm3 and it takes whole feedneck in and just looks way better. Might want to look into that. Along with frame looks out of place and its still an ion in my eyes and ya ions. |

I think the mid rise will help. That hopper just makes the rest of the marker look so small. It honestly looks top heavy. To the point where its lost its function ------------- Ride it like you stole it... |

Not so, because the Ricochet is about as light as it gets for a "traditional"

I thought that was actually a custom body... then I looked on Action Village and saw that it's not.....so basically you just added.. Apex Barrel, Blade Trigger and QEV? You need to do some mods to actually make it look like a military gun if you want it to be "Tactical"....just dosen't feel right useing the word "Tactical" with that gun... "Ninja" would be better, I like Ions they way they orignally were... sleek and sexy and super low profile... I can't see where he claimed the ion to be a military sim gun. He referred to it as tactical just as the manufacturer of the body has described it. I think I could use some hard core tactics with your set-up hway |
