I'm having serious 'carpe diem' issues with a girl I know lately. I don't particularly care to elaborate, but I'd appreciate a kick the the head if anyone would care to indulge me. Negative. One of those issues where I'm developing strong feelings for a friend, and debating whether I should act on it- tonight I definitely felt I should have, but passed on tons of opportunities. If I've read her right I do certainly stand a chance, but I'm worried about running into the old "I don't want to mess up our friendship" line. Ironically, even asking in the first place would make that more awkward- But I won't feel at ease until I give it a shot. Damned if I do, damned if I don't. Go figure. Yeah that's for sure... I remember in my high school days, I was really touched by a girl. I never asked her out or anything. It's like everyone knew we should be together, but I never made the move. We finished high school and I lost contact with her. 9 years later and now she's about to get married. Those 'what if's are always there. I regret never saying anything. I recently saw her unexpectedly, but we didn't have a chance to talk or anything. She looks great and happy, and I have my own life now so no problems at all. But still, those 'what if' are there. |

I'll have to second the liquid charisma thing, that way if you do get shot down you have an excuse for your behavior. It removes a lot of akwarness from the situation afterwords. Keep your head out of the game, no retarded confessions of feelings, start with physical closeness, some touching. yea, i hate the way they look, i like the old fatigues better, unfortunately by the time i get to the army ill be wearing ACU's. although you cant complain about enhanced camo, and if it really does make your figure break up more, ill wear it. |

On to the advice--> Not exactly, because the problem lies in brihard expressing how he feels about said girl. Asking her on a date can be considered a friendly event and therefore does not accomplish what brihard sets out to do. He must directly state how he feels and what he wants to do inorder to fully get the weight off his back. Anything less will continue to force various boots to strike his face. Guess what? they are together now. I think it's just a matter of letting her know how you feel and if she doesn't feel fine about it at first, may be she just need to think about it. yea, but unfortunately they do help break up the body, not100% sure but i think theyre good in any terrain....if you think the army and marines acu's suck, imagine the navy, they have those god awful blue ones i personally like the older ones, they make you look more bad---. IMO, seems like you could pick up more girls in a bar with the older ones. |

ACUs ARE garbage. You can't have one pttern that works everywhere. That's just the army trying to be cheap. Get two or three distinct patterns for different terrains. Suck it up and eat the cost; it's not unreasonable compared to a lot of other major procurements. I fail to see why the navy needs blue camo.
