I've been looking at buying a new gun and i was wondering if the smart parts impulse is worth it.
How fast does it shoot? and what modes does it have?

And what else do u recommend in that price range?

Look into an Ion.

Impulses are amazing when UPGRADED, stock, not so good

but if you get NDZ internals, new feedneck and trigger, it will own

its fast, but it depends on the board, i believe the stock cricket vision is capped at 21?? with no modes, but you can get it ecsed for $30 and get ramping and all that

Impulses are cheap because of the size of the newer guns coming out and the ion takeover

They are really reliable, i have yet to have any problems, and its really easy to take apart and clean

i love imps dont get me wrong-they're fast, reliable, and they look good but the people on this forum convinced me to get an icd promaster rather then an imp and i love it 100% more than an impulse. if ur gonna spend $300-$400 on a gun get a promaster. you'll like it guaranteed

come with me if you want to live.......

98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to own these idiots put this in your sig.

imps are fast with the right upgrades.  but they are also very large and heavy.  by the time it is upgraded you have spent alot of money on something that if you ever go to sell it, you will barrely get anything for it.

i would say look into the ion or promaster.  or look for cheaper used guns like pm5's dm4's and shockers.

alright... ill look into those guns

but where can i get a pm5, dm4, and a shocker for a cheap price besides ebay

you can get them on pbnation for cheaper,

for upgrades on impulse, you want NDZ internals, new barrel(maybe), new trigger and feedneck

but you could get one upped alot, like mine, for about $300, rarely, you see people selling their STOCK promasters for $300

paintballgear.com has Angel G7s for $588, so prices on high end guns used are gonna go down

If I were you I would buy a A-5 stealth with E-grip or R/T
or just a regular A-5 stealth or A-5 Sniper all around the price of $200-$450 off of Ebay. That's a really good deal considering how much your getting
you should check it out

Any gun in that price range will shoot pretty much just as fast, and will be pretty close. Ive owned DM3's, Rat Impys, Ions. They all shoot pretty much the same, its just what your most comfortable with... Personally, I thought the Impy was a little bit to tall for my playing style (i play front), the matrix was perfect but a little heavy, and the ion was just perfect for me. Its just what your comfortable with. I recomened going to the field or local pro shop and ask to demo each one of the guns in the price range, and see what fits you best.
