the only thing is, why should a get a strike when i didn't know the rules? you wouldn't want to get your paintball gun taken away for something you didn't do or know.

Cry me a river. It's your own fault that you got a strike. If you really cared about the rules, you'd find them and abide by them so that you dont get in trouble. But it's clear you did not, instead you just threw caution to the wind and then got pissy when you stepped over the line that you were too lazy to locate.

And the "d-word" (I don't swear) isn't edited because it isn't too harsh, and it isn't used for flaming. There really is no reason to edit it.

Wah.

You didn't get a strike for calling the gun "g.ay".  Those strikes are usually only given out in more obnoxious circumstances.  You got a strike for going back to make another post for the specific purpose of circumventing the filter, to make sure that everybody knew what they were missing.  You intentionally circumvented the rules.

Like I said in my note, your first hint should have been the filter.  The filter isn't there just for kicks and giggles.  And it is common sense netiquette to read ALL the stickies and announcements before making even your first post. 

And finally, it's a strike.  It has no effect except as a warning.  You have been given a warning.  No need to freak out.

Read the sentence after "No foul language." There's your answer.

Strikes are warnings. Get three and you are gone, or do something worse than normal and you will be put on the fast track to bansville.
