Get a new feedneck. The feed it comes with with the plastic tube always breaks.
Anti chop bolt and rocking trigger frame

Rocking trigger frame isnt tourney legal.
Look into a new feedneck, barrel, and board.

I see a Spyder thread! And thanks for the plug, Styro, but I'm still in the process. ![](smileys/smiley2.gif)
What year is it? The '03 model? that's what I've got. It's the more "tubey" lookin' one. Anyway, you can do great things to a Spyder, with time and patience.
Included are: -feedneck -hammer -bolt -grip frame -grips -boards -eyes -barrel -valve -volume chamber -front block -trigger -ASA/drop -springs -microswitch -sight rail (or lack there of) -anno -or even a whole new body
If you really really want a good Spyder, you can Spimmy it. Picture a morph between a Spyder and Timmy. As much as people don't want to admit it, Timmies started out as beefed up-pneumatic Spyders. Heck, Spyders is what got Bob Long into the major paintball tycoon he is now. He started out manufacturing replacement parts for Spyders.

but whatever it is your choice

But you can't even compare the Ion to the Spyder. One's an electropneumatic, the other's a sear-tripper. Plus, Spyders can run on CO2 and a cheap electric hopper (unless you get like the T-board and stuff). That by itself is gonna cost an extra $150 or so for the Ion. Spyders and Tippies = ultimate beginner and tinkerer gun.

Yeah, I forgot to mention, resale on Spyders suck, no one'll give them a chance.
You could maybe get $50 out of a stock imagine. If it's in good condition.

I miss tweaking my Spyder. I owe my folks like $179, so I'm out of it for a while...
Last I checked, when I painted my grip frame, I lost the sear return spring, so I'm gonna have to contact Kingman. Maybe I can get a new one for free.

It's an '03 Imagine that has been stripped, sanded, milled, and modded. If they still count that under warranty, than Kingman has the uberest customer service of them all...
I e-mailed them to see if they could just send me a spring, seeing as to it's just a spring. If not, I also asked what I would have to go through to get one.

Well, if we are going to do an extremely expensive and advanced mod to a Spyder, my vote goes to a Spocker.

The funny thing is all of this is possible. Spyders may reek at first (which isn't necissarily true) but I think they have more potential than any other gun. If you can think about it, you probably can do it to a Spyder.

I just want it...
You hold in your hand one of the most upgradable Spyders made. The first run Victors (not Victor II's) are the epitome of basic, thus saving cost. Their entire build is about basic function, no frills. Pull the trigger, it shoots. From that, you cun customize just about every aspect of it. If you really don't want it, I'll honestly take it off your hands, but just for screwing around, I'd keep it if it works.

I'm thinking other than some trigger mods and maybe my palmer i'll for the most part leave it alone. Pre travel is spot on but there's some extra post travel to deal with and maybe a lighter spring. I really have no idea what mods are available but the spimmy mod looks way too expensive. I might hack the top of the bolt guard off.
Can I strap a spyder electro grip on it? bolt on and go?
I need direction for cheap, performance upgrades. Which spyder forum is best? link?
I think it works I aired it up and dry fired it and its nice and loud

Meh. I just use the Kingman forums. They don't seem too bad, but I seldom get on, so you'll just have to see.

And yeah, the e-grips should just bolt right on. That's the plus side of sear trippers.
Oh, http://www.ottersccustoms.com/ - Otter's Customs has some pretty kick-butt do it yourself mods. I recommend you check them out.

I think all you would need to do is link a pump arm (yellow) from the pump (blue) to the internals (red). However, you will need to elongate the hole in the bolt so when it's cocked, you can bring the pump back forward. Then just find a weak enough spring to move the striker hard enough to release just enough air to fire the shot.

Or you can just glue a small o-ring to the valve pin, That way when the hammer hits it, all the air is going out the barrel and not toward the hammer.
And Its really sweet when the back, behind the bolt, is cut off. Just to get rid of extra weight(and to look good).
