Has anyone tried puting a stronger return spring in there cyclone? I do think it would kick it up past the 25 mark. I may try it in mine this weekend... if I can get a new set of punchs that will fit the vortex pins. I broke mine putting it in  ------------- 1 paintball gun package=$150 1 case of paint=$50 air & entry fee=$15 lighting up newbies all day long= Priceless |

probably. you'll need paint that is quite durable. any tournament-grade paint, or fragile paint won't stand up to a stock cyclone, much less a modded one. now, a friend of mine used this paint called "wild streak," and he could shoot trees, and the paint would bounce off. maybe that's a good paint to use

Youre misunderstanding the limits of the design of the cyclone. The weak point isnt the spring strength, but the design of the spring-return ram. The weak point in the design is that at higher rates of fire, so many bursts of air are feeding into the cylinder that the spring has no time to reset the cylinder and ratchet the cyclone. A quick exhaust valve alone should help the speed considerably. First, the stronger spring would require more air pressure to cycle the cyclone completely. Since theres no way to adjust the air pressure feeding the cyclone, I doubt it would even work. Second, the increased air pressure (assuming it could be adjusted) would just balance out the new spring, and it would perform exactly the same as the stock cyclone. -------------

how about drilling a hole at the point at which the piston is at the farthest forward? that, and a QEV would make it return faster...right???? Note: if anyone does this, its your gun and your fault!!!! Yes there is a way to adjust the air flow to the cyclone...
