Thanks,

The only legal way would be to port it, but that wouldnt be a good idea.

Its illegal to make a silencer, and im willing to bet the foam coupled with the shroud would make it that.

Why do you want it quieter? It won't help. You'll still be heard no matter what at the ranges paintball is played. Even with a Flatty. Plus, Flatlines are known for their cannon-boom sound anyway, so I say enjoy it.

putting packing foam around a solid piece of metal won't do anything anyways...

I suppose you could port it ONLY on the sides, since the balls likely mainly roll on the tob and bottom of the inside of the barrel.

Hmm.  Maybe worth someone trying? :P

Maybe if you really wanted to you could take off the shroud then put the fome in then the shroud over it. But I think that if you did that the only way that you might hear a difference is if you were to drill holes in the shroud to allow the are that is displaced to go some where. However I don't think that a silencer would be worth the trouble. Expecally when it costs $48.00 if you mess it up.

Again I ask... how would putting foam around a solid piece of metal make less air come out the front....
