So I wear contacts, and I've noticed that in the evenings from like 5-on, my eyes get really dried out and the contacts are a huge pain.

I had an eye exam a couple months ago and they reccomended getting glasses to wear in the evenings and a couple days a week, so I went for it.. here's what I got:

Oakley Jackknife 4.0 in Pewter

You bought designer glasses, I am so jealous.  Gosh I feel like such a hick and I feel so poor!  I wish my mummy and papa would get me new glasses.

I took a dump about an hour ago but I didn't make a thread about it.

Live and learn.

resize large pics before you post them. jackass.

my glasses have the same design (half frame) and i bet they look just as good on a person as those do, even at a distance.

Same as 99% of other brand-name things. All that differentiates a A&F polo shirt from a regular old shirt is a little logo.

I wanted oakley quality sure, but also wanted the styling, and yes, the logo. if that makes me shallow, it makes me shallow. Oh well. Name brands are there for a reason: image. Its just like how people spend 2 grand on a Tag Heuer watch when they could buy a 15 dollar one at Pac Sun. Its just how it is.

I wear Lacoste and RL and a good quality polo will easily outlast a crappy one. They also don't fade as fast.

I should have said looks-wise. Of course my oakley's are gonna out last HV's off brand ones. But theres more to it than that.

supremely doubtful on that one. just beacuse something was more expensive, doesn't mean it will outlast anything else. and my glasses weren't overpriced pieces of crap like your oakleys. they were very expensive not some walmart "off brand." i'm not saying mine outlast your because they were expensive, i trust the craftsmanship on my frames.

but back to how cool you are with your overpriced designer glasses.

I have contacts too, but wear glasses at night. They are just nice to have.

and since you seem to think that oakleys are the only major brand in eyewear, my "off brand" revo sunglasses were not cheap either. same for my uncle's calvin klein clip-on sunglasses(i got them when he passed away). but since they were not oakleys, i'm sure they are not as good. which makes me not as cool as you.

Nope.

If he has something better than others, he brags his ass off.

If someone has something better than his, it's crap and overpriced.

You come in here bashing my expensive glasses only to then drop the brands of your own stuff saying how expensive they were?

I wear contacts.  Now, I have the sleepable ones, but before I had regular Acuvee (not spelled right) and I slept in them anyways for up to 2 months straight without any problem.

I had square wire 2.0's but ditched them for the unknowns.

I like the wire 2.0's but I think 3 pairs of sunglasses is enough for now. I like the transition lenses though that Oakley is carrying in some of their sunglasses too.
