Lotus is making a bit of a coceback, I think.  I'm not too hot on the Elise, but the Exige is nice, and the buzz around the new Europa is definitely good.

Nifty to have a peniscar that gets 30+ mpg with less than 200hp, and still goes 0-60 in less than 5 seconds.

mustangs are so white trash...

i went to a car show and everyone looking at the mustangs were either in jeans and a cut off muscle shirt made from a country singer t-shirt or wearing a leather nascar jacket.

It's pretty funny when they rice them out though....

Gotta say though: Jeans+Cut off Shirt+Country Music =/= White Trash...

White trash is all in the mindset...

True - he forgot an important ingredient:

Jeans+Cut off Shirt+Country Music+Mullet = White Trash

(In the alternative, instead of the mullet, either a girlfriend named Bobbi Sue or a Lynyrd Skynrd shirt will also work)

(and, of course, a jacked-up pickup truck bypasses all other requirements)

This rig actually does run every day hauling a 48' 4 axle trailer matching colours all cromed out full of good Canadian Sleemans beer witch is a VERY heavy load. But this things their baby and so it gets washed ALOT and is painted every year for the big Furgas truck show.

You do realize that Cadillac and Mercedes cars are made by the same company, right?

How do you figure one for "domestic" and not the other?

My point is that the whole "domestic vs. foreign" distinction is meaningless.

Mercedes, Toyota, and Honda make cars in the US (and others as well).  Ford makes cars in Europe.

How can you draw a distinction?

I know it sounds retarded but its what i was raised up thinking, Ive always been told my my grandpa, my unkles (not my dad he isnt a car guy at all, he didnt know what a fuel filter was one time...)

But you gotta admit, If it wer'nt for our domestic car companies there are thousands of people in the U.S. (and in Europe as you mentioned) without jobs

FTW, for cars we can actually afford...

200? Dodge Challenger: Motor Trend says there ain't gonna be a V6 model, so I'm guessing the price to be around high $20k to mid $30k. 5.7L Hemi comes standard, with the 6.1L SRT engine for an option. I like...

Honestly, I'd rather have that, because I'm a Mopar Man (despite the fact Mopar isn't exactly around anymore), but I think the Camaro will do better.

Motor Trend: "Entry level cars will feature a V-6 engine, with the mainstream V-8 being the 400-horsepower LS2. A 500-horsepower LS7-a new ZL-1perhaps?-also is under consideration to take on the Shelby GT500."

*challenger.

But yeah, they do share some creepy similarities. But, back in the day (about 1971) they were all 3 competing with each other. They were originally designed alike, to see who could make the best, Ford, Chevy, or Mopar (Plymouth 'Cuda and Dodge Challenger were sister cars). White trash such as yours truely have developed a taste for these kinds of cars, and can spot the differences in body style, performance, and preference. So it's all good.

I don't think Dodge has made a Challenger in quite a while.  I was referring to the new Charger:

Realizing it's a four-door, it still has the same basic design as the new Mustang and Camaro.

OOOOH! I thought you were referring to the pic I posted.

But my previous comment still stands. It's all part of the new "retro-style" craze. Nothing is as good as the original (IMO), but a few are coming pretty close.

Yeah. I think it would make a good police cruiser. It's got the power to intercept, and size to haul in the arrested.

Remember when they were using 5.0L Mustangs and Camaros as interceptors?

My uncle told me once that his friend was on his motorcycle (not sure which one) with a few beers in him. He was speeding pretty bad, and a cop in a Mustang switched on the lights. He tried to get away, going around 120 down a feeder road. The Mustang was keeping perfect pace with him. He just gave up...

I got to mess around with one at the Houston Car Show. It was nice. It's basically a Corvette with a Caddy shell. The interior is comfortable, even for the plus sized like me, and everything is automated...

i think its just you, and mustangs arent exclusively white trash, i currently dont fall under that distinction, and own a mustang........yeah, and the bugatti veyron wins the performance section, if not the looks area, i think that would go to something else, veyrons are so freaking fast its not even funny, i read somewhere that if you go top speed in 7TH gear, the car runs out of gas in like 15 minutes...and it has a horsepower meter..........but i like the way the pagani zonda looks, i think it looks kinda like a jet, but all of those cars are sweet, cept for the  gremlin........
