I just got a broken Viewloader Orion for free from my friend. It is a really easy fix he was missing the valve stem. Its in the mail. But are there any mods I could do to it? I really wont use it much I have an A-5. But just for kicks?

(I will probly end up giving it to my bro. So nothing to major.)

Do some trigger mods whether it's removing slop or putting in a stop or two. Then, paint it...shiney blue isnt cool.

I like shiney blue... well I just don't want to screw it up by painting it (i've never painted a gun)

Anything other then slop (shortened trigger pull?) how would I go about doing that?

Edit: me and my friend made a trigger stop by cutting a motel card into little squares and sticking them behind the trigger and we put peice of plastic on the top of the trigger (shorten the pull) it all works.

Any more mods? or Should I stop?

no dont stop, help me!

lol Im in the same boat u were, bought my custom pro and the kid threw in a Viewloader Orion as well, later did I found out it was busted

I tried taking it apart, oiling it and putting it back together according to the diagram from the site, but it still doesnt work

I gas it up, cock it, pull the trigger and it doesnt recock, I didnt shoot a ball through it, but it doesnt sound as loud as I think it should (ie. no enough gas getting through?)

Spyder/Timmy hybrid

It incorporates parts from both guns.

dont do it with an orion though, it doesnt take the same stuff as a spyder.

more trouble than its worth.

Before my friend gave it to me he had the smae problem. I dont remember what it was. Make sure to clean and lube it good.

Also check the valve stem. Thats the part that I am missing.

Edit: Oh I remember take your hose off. His hose had an extra o-ring that was making it leak.

not enought gas would be a problem...happens to tippys all the time when they get lpk's, takes awhile to adjust.

im pretty sure vl's have a gas tru fore-grip but if its like a stablizer or inline reg turn it up little by little and see if that works out

theres only a rear velocity adjuster, and playing with that doesnt do anything

and its really tough to pull the bolt back and cock it, thats not normal is it?

My gun in hard to cock too. And I dont want to spend 70 bucks on an e-trigger for a gun that will just turn into a blender after 5 bps. I wonder if there are any cheap spyder upgrades.

It would be cool to mill off the top of the feed neck and make it so you could put an real feed neck on it.

Get an ACS... But I dont want to spend the money (How hard would it be to make my gun top cocking) Cut off that little ledge on top. But with what. I dont have some shop I could just get it milled at.

What about porting the barrel? How would I go about doing that? (I do have a dremel)

If you wanted to port a barrel you could just drill holes in it probably
