im sitting here figuring out what im gonna do with my life. i think im gonna do ROTC in college, and just stick with the army til i figure something i want to do in civi life. what about you guys? i know most of you are older, but where does everyone here want to be in 10-20 years?furthered education, better job than now, ceo, small business owner? |

I start college in 2 weeks at a community college. I plan to transfer, and get into computers, not sure exactly what though. I'm really excited/in a hurry to get out on my own.

Back to University in a couple weeks. Get my degree in Performance and
Media Art in the SIAT stream at Simon Fraser University, then get into the graphic design field in one way or another. I'm already doing freelance contract work, and I'm getting my business license shortly, so that helps. Basically, keep moving in this direction I think. I debated film for a while too, its pretty intriguing. |

Well I plan to get a job glass blowing until I'm about 19. Go to college in New Hampshire for fire science. Live with my bro up there so I won't pay rent. Get an apartment and a job for a F.D. Transfer out west get a job there retire at 45 and live out my life snowboarding and paintballing. ------------- Thinking about it... |

| Two years at the University of Central Florida. Transfer to the University of Florida. Get a degree in Journalism, with a minor in Political Science and Broadcasting. During my time in college, start working for school paper, and intern at local radio stations. Transfer over into working for a city newspaper and a big name station doing producing work. I hope to one day work my way up to Newsweek or Rolling Stone. |

More realistically, go to college, likely for materials engineering. |

I plan on going to a tech school for nuclear engineering. Then get a job at a hospital, and hopefully they will pay for me to go back to college to get a nice degree to up my standing in the hospital. Find a wife that loves me, get a family, a nice house. And have enough time for them. |

i think im only going to do 2 years of community collage, or if i get enough money ill stick through it and do 4 years. After that im going to go to the police acadamy and train to be an officer. My friend is going to do the same thing to.

Finish my last three years of my b.A. in criminology, go overseas with the military for a tour of duty, then become a police officer. Do that for maybe ten years while I'm still young and stupid, hopefully get on the tactical team for a few years. Then once I get old and less interested in that stuff, or they try to stick me behind a desk, get out, get a teaching certificate, and teach high school til I'm old.

A Paintballer in NYC? I live in Brooklyn and I only get out to p-ball once a month if even that.
Im a Jr. in high school and am hoping to go to school for free or cheap on a scholarship, preferrebly Cal Tech or Cornell, if not then any other top academic school without a team would be nice.(MIT,etc)

Graduate High school, hopefully with my A+ certification before I start collage so I can get a job in IT. Major/minor in some combination of Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. I'd like to work in the tech feild, either working along designing and engineering computer components or as a software engineer. I'm slightly more inclined towards the former because there seems to be hordes and hordes of people getting into software. I may also work somewhere in the IT feild as either a freelance consultant or for a company. Another option I'm interested in is somewhere in nanotechnology (hence the mechnaical and chemical engineering). I'm thinking along the same lines here. I'm going to go to a college here in Illinois (Columbia or U of I) or Montreal. Then i'll probably form/join a band with some buddies. Do alot of drugs. Hopefully find someone to settle down with and have a couple kids. ------------- u dont know what to do ur getting mottor boatted Men are from Magmar, women are from Venusaur. |

You haven't graduated yet? I pictured you as being older than that. As for me... Technical school. From there I hope to go into the telecommunication industry. Doing what, specifically, I'm not sure. |

I have been doing Army ROTC for the past 2 years, and this semester I have to decide if I'm going to contract. So I'll either be in the Army or out in the business world. |

I don't try and guess anymore. I was supposed to join the National Guard right out of HS, but ended up going to college. I was supposed to be out in four with a job, it took me 5 and I'm unemployed, I'm planning to join the Navy reserve, but who knows....
The thing is guys, make all the plans you want, but life has a nifty way of throwing you all kinds of curves that change the best laid plans in about 20 minutes. ------------- ? |

I have one year left of High School and then I'm going to college to become either a Physician's Assistant or possibly a Speech Pathologist. If neither of those work, I'll try for a RN. Regardless, I'll be entering the medical field. A wife, nice house and car, and of course children after several years on my own. Depending where I am living when I graduate high school, I would like to attend The University of Chicago, Chapel Hill, University of Miami, Princeton, UCLA, or USC. Get my bachelor's degree and then decide whether or not I want to attend law school, or find a job and eventually get my MBA. If I attended law school, hopefully I could become a partner in my stepdads law firm, or do some sort of construction project estimates with my father if I got my MBA or stuck with my bachelors. |

its going to go like this: Air Force ROTC to pay for Purdue, Indiana State U, ERAU, or the USAFA where i will train to be a commercial pilot. then 10 years in the USAF as a pilot of some kind. fighter would be fun, but multi-engine jets would give me the experience i would need to get a good job at a major airline. so basically, college, air force, civ pilot. |
