Well I've decided to start playing speed ball. I plyed yesterday with my Tippmann and I LOVED it. It was better than any other woods ball game I've ever played. I'm thinking of buying this. http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=fEwYI8jIQ1sY14wTLofYi8Icw7_AucgWk14=?ProductID=y2jAqArb%2ekEAAAELh0iSKpB9 - http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/S tore/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=fEwYI8jIQ1 sY14wTLofYi8Icw7_AucgWk14=?ProductID=y2jAqArb%2ekEAAAELh0iSK pB9 Tell me if this is a good package or not. If not I'll just buy an Ion a halo and a HPA tank(what HPA should I buy?)
I'm problay going to play a few mor games with the Tippmann. I'm also thinking about selling the tippmann(Good Idea?)
Thankyou for your input.

If you didn't feel like spending a lot. That would be an ok package.
What you really should do is buy an Ion, Halo B, and a 68/4500 HPA tank by Crossfire. As quickly as possible, you need to upgrade to a new feedneck, a new trigger, a qev, and a new asa. A barrel will also be needed, but for me, the stock barrel worked fine. I like my CCM no rise feedneck. I believe I had to go under the Impulse upgrades in ActionVillage to find it. The NDZ roller blade trigger is really good. Basically any qev will do, but I suggest the Virtue (clippard) or SP swivel qev. A new ASA isn't something you need really badly, but when you get to it, get something like the CP on/off asa. Might want to get a rail also. Also after a barrel upgrade, look into a new bolt. By that time, you will have an awesome marker that will last you a long time. Also the efficiency will be much higher with a qev and new bolt.

Robocop, quit telling everyone to get QEV's before the basics... You do understand what QEV's do right? The are pointless unless he plans on ramping ALL of the time. For starters, get a new barrel, feedneck, and on/off. And a decent ASA is important, the standard duckbill is worthless. After that, look at QEV's, a new board, and trigger.
And when it comes down to it, don't worry about a new bolt. We can't even sell them out of our shop because people don't see enough of a difference to warrant spending money on one.

I suggest getting a qev because it is slightly more efficient and also is a grease trap. I love my new firebolt. Slightly less kick with better efficiency. Your right, I should have said for the basics a new feedneck, a new asa, and a trigger. I think the stock barrel is actually pretty decent. As long as you know how to aim, it was simple hitting people through small cracks. I was hitting people through cracks all day with the stock barrel. If he is to get a new barrel, I would suggest a barrel kit because the only problem I had with the stock barrel was that it was too big for the paint. The paint that day was too small. Even the people with the lowest bore size that companies make, were complaining about how that bore size still wasn't small enough. Even with that small paint, my stock barrel did well.

well the qev does help with eficiency, i went from shooting an egg and 2 pods off a 47/300 up to around 5 with one.
heres what i have on mine and it performs as nice as most of the high end guns i shot.
evil pipe redz camlock feedneck lucky laser eyes cp trigger t-board sp qev cp asa with rail dye stickies lucky lbm bolt v2. crossfire 68/4500 halo but i want to sell it and buy a vlocity

My Ion has:
Evil Pipe on the way (They ran out of backs), virtue qev, ccm clamping feedneck, NDZ roller blade trigger, firebolt, SP drop w/ SP on/off asa, Halo B w/ rip drive, and a 68/5k evil scion.
I still plan on getting as soon as possible: CP reg, dye stickies, virtue on/off switch, and a new body of some sort. Also I want to get the 90* frame.

QEV - n. An acronym for Quick Exhaust Valve. Originally intended for use on autocockers, this is now also an upgrade for the popular Ion that allows gas to escape at the point of the fitting instead of back through the solenoid, thereby improving cycle times, trapping dirt and grease that may get into the solenoid, and improving efficiency.

Ion aren't to crappy. There like the Tippman of speedball, The popular lowend electronic gun of speedball. But there perfect, light, small, fast all you need for an SB gun.

Ions are actually really good guns as long as the owner takes good care of it. It is good right out of the box, but with some upgrades, it can look and feel like any high-end gun.

Is the ANS Xtreme Performance website reliable to order off of? That is the only place that I know of that makes Ion 90*. If I get one, I want the black/blue fade. That might be my next upgrade or else I will get the cp reg.

I disagree. No matter how many upgrades you put onto the gun, it's still the same platform. If you are telling me that you're fully upped ION would feel and shoot like my sl66 or my dynasty shocker? I don't think so...

Of course it is not going to feel exactly the same. All guns are different. All I am really trying to say is that an upped Ion can easily compete in the big leagues. An Ion can be personalized as the person advances in his paintball career whichever path that person takes. I personally wouldn't want to use an Ion if I was a pro, but if the Ion is all I have, it can sure get me there with its reliability and performance. I have seen people have a nice upped DM5 use there Ion in tournies just because it was easier to handle for how he plays. It just goes to show that Ions aren't as bad as some people claim it to be. I even hated Ions. Sure I would still like to have something more high-end, but once I held the Ion and shot it, I knew it would stick with me for a long time.

Well they're more likely to shoot like the shocker. If you use an ion for awhile you seem to get attached to them, and try to make them perform the best they can. I'v compared shooting mine to shooting my friends dm5 and i paid nearly 300 less between the gun and upgrades.

Right. I could drop $1000 in to my custom pro.... Or I could take that money and buy a timmy or a speedball gun better than the $1000 Tippmann.

Don't you still have to buy some stuff to get the Promaster working. Like asa and air line. One of my friends has a promaster and the noid in it has busted a few times. The company for some reason can't send him a new noid. That was the main reason I never bought a Promaster. And don't say he can't take care of his gun because he also has an Ion and an Evil Pimp. He takes good care of the Pimp and Ion.

Wow you sold a gun for being called a noob. That's more looserish than having a noob gun in the first place.
