This is a project i did one day. It took a few tries to get the gun to fit snug, and the connect pin holes to line up.

Call me reckless, no saftey, or trigger gaurd. just use the "be real carefull" method.

Demonstrating I can look down the site WITH my mask on.

Its not 100% ergonomically correct, but still has a comfortable feel. It feels more like a rifle. I used an oak 2x4, im making another one out of a 2x6. I only had a router, a dremel and a saw for that one(and a drill), but now i have a drill press and a ban saw...

put a buttplate of somekind on it.  that would complete it.

The distance between the hand grip and the trigger itself seems quite a fair way. Looks like your trig hand would be a little stretched out.

Agreed. But very good job on the woodworking skills you got there. Keep it up.

I thought the same thing. Other than that it looks comfy. Nice job.

neccesarah? whats that? Im not so much of a sniper, in decent sized games, i may lurk in defense in brush, i dont move to fast at the start but i can boot if i need to.  I let people walk up on me and dont shoot unless  i have a pretty decent shot, unless i need to bunker someone with atleast another man. I dont need a scope or anything, and i dont go all out with concelment, i just get down low and use blind spots to advance on to people. i was dubbed "navy seal", i'll try to get a pic of my gear up soon.

i posted the pics after i came home from drinking so i didnt explain it good at all.

i feel kinda like a dink not having any means of safety so im making another one out of a wider piece of wood. pluss that will give me a wider shoulder rest on the stock.

It fits in very snug and gives the A-5 a totally new feel which seems more right.

Hand made and one of a kind. It's every tippmann owners dream. Awesome job. Just work on that safety in the next version. Also.. It would be sweet if you could carve out a trigger gaurd on your next one and still keep it one piece of wood.

you should make a wooden hand guard to replace your grip. Kinda like estcstpnt's AK up there

necessary(in a cartman voice, like obey my authoritah.....)
i was talking about you getting a firepower up, unless you are a sniper

Looks awesome. If you could integrate a safety and/or trigger guard into your next one, it'd be much more practical/safe. You should remove the foregrip to really give it the rifle appearance. I really like it, nice work!

a saftey will be somewhat tricky, im thinking some type of "wedge" system.

the grip just works as something to wrap the sling around to hold it againt my body.

i might try to make it like an M-1 garande.

Thats sweet.  I'd wrap some of that tape on the butt end of the stock, to simulate some kind of butt plate.

Not something I'd do, but I like the fact that it's an original idea.

Your forearm sort of looks like mine.

Oh, and you might want to put some sort of a trigger guard on that.

I would suggest(Depending on your woodworking skills) Varnishing and waxing your next model. And put in a saftey. Forget a trigger guard too.

My skills are picking up. i gave it a few coats of varnish , but i used a paintbrush which gave it a little bit of an ugly texture at first.

my godfather taught me a little about stains, and to rub it in with a cloth. as for waxing...what kind fo wax?

Wood polish wax stuff. You put it on after varnishing with steel wool. You dont need to use it though. I dont like wax unless ALOT of buffing has been used. And may I suggest cutting ridges in the back of the next model so this will be everyones buttplate?

And how did you make all the curves? Sandpaper and chisels?

BAM!

its not too heavy, it balanced pretty nice.

I used grinding bits for a power drill, and a craftsman hand saw.

I started making a new one (practicing on a 2x6 of cheaper wood), but i didnt get the groove right on a bunch of practices. I may need a new router bit. also brain storming a differant approach.
