Im not sure but I think I seen someone with a spider with a cyclone on it. when does the patent on the cyclone end? I will love to see what kind of cool guns come out when that happens.

I dont think any other company will get production rights of the cyclone.

They wont. It would be very hard to do that without alot of modification

what about laying the cyclone vertical agaist the gun? the balls will be pushed up into the gun? it would feed pretty good sept the last 5 or so balls. or make a sort of belt that feeds the balls into the gun. the belt would be attached to the bolt so there would be no timing issues

well, answer me this: why would Smart Parts produce a valve that was designed for Tippmanns?
isn't a simple answer good enough? TIPPMANN researched, designed, tested, patented, and now produce the cyclone feeder system. there would be no purpose for them to design and manufacture a hopper design for a gun produced by the competition. besides the fact that Tippmann is one of the only companies that has its markers set up to load horizontally. most other paintball companies produce markers that load vertically...

Because usually if you have a high end gun you're playing speed ball right? So if you're playing speedball you don't want this big ass thing pocking out the side, you'll get hopper hits all the time. Not to mention you're gun would be extremely off balance and gun fighting would be a disaster + If I'm right the cyclone uses more air to get it to spin so more of an air hog, and it's not even that fast.

So there you have it Cyclone on high end = no.

you aren't right. a cyclone'd and R/T'd 98 custom doesn't go through CO2 or HPA any faster than a stock 98.

what one thing I dont understand, is why Tippmann made the cyclone use air to cycle it. why did they not just hook it on the side of the bolt. that way it would not have any problems of skipping and chopping at high rates of fire. with air you have to (i use the word loosely) time it right
