Thats his opinion. His opinion is that Black people cannot swim. See, now if a Black man said how he was coaching a basketball team consisting of 10 year olds, and he said that the white kids couldnt jump high enough it would not be concidered racism. Just like if there was W.E.T. it would be racist, but B.E.T. isnt. -------------

I have a dad that went through the navy and a brother doing the same. Both said that 9 outta 10 time someone couldnt swim they were of color. Lets face it people, thats not really racist. Most of the ethnic crowed live in the inner city (real fact look it up). The inner city isnt known for thier pools, or ponds. Its just the facts. Should the guy have said it? No, but he did and hes not all wrong in what he said. |

Thats a regional thing then, not a race thing then. It has nothing to do with someones race, its whether or not they can swim, for whatever reason. Why not "inner city kids" couldnt swim? |

I never said its racist, I never said its not racist. Sterotypes are in place for a reason. How he said what he said, yes its racist kind of. But then again, you could say, oh hes just racist cause hes originally from alabama, and thats how some people think down there. Its all up to what you believe I suppose. Should he have not said it, yes he should have not said what he said. Im not racist but sometimes you guys have to look at real life, and most of the time sterotypes are true. |

It's not though, thats the point. It has NOTHING to do with colour. Being able to swim, or not is entirely an individual thing. You could have an entire family who has never had a swimmer in it, then just teach a kid to swim, and you break that cycle. It has nothing to do with colour, location, genetics, their parents. As you said, you need to have a look at reality. |
